They sound very familiar Candy. It may be just that those names are very common in England.

I thought of Ben & Jerry's.. :D Show's where my head is at. They are from Vermont though. They're an American ice cream brand - hip and famous with hippies.

I love a good restaurant. I was talking with my gf. We will go out to dinner in Kyrgyzstan if ever I attain my student loan...

Yes, it is an American chain in the UK.
I will photo the menu later.
Of course, it will be adapted for UK tastes I bet.

American in the UK... I remember seeing things in London that brought that to mind. Pizza it was I think. We stopped and ordered one. Pizza is Italian of course, but this wasn't themed that way. I thought about it not being very English for England. And of course we had something from a Kentucky Fried Chicken there and a Subway; both in Croydon. The KFC was interesting though. Of course if you want fries... they're chips. :) no question

    :D

Restaurants are so cool. & I can't wait to try Kyrgyz food.

I told my gf I'm basically vegan. She says it's fine and that I can order whatever though when we go places of course. :yum:

I don't know how plant-based they are, but from what I've read, Kyrgyzstan has vegan restaurants like anywhere. Most of the cultural cuisine has meat though.

Yay, I have stopped you thinking of peanut butter soul. x

In truth, it is very difficult to find a traditional English restaurant these days.
The nearest is our Carvery's that our Roast meat and vegetables.

not exactly... I gave up on quitting the peanut butter. :D It's a powerful habit... What I've done is learned to cut out other things throughout my day so that the peanut butter doesn't hurt my diet as badly. I weigh 80.73 kg now; lower than before, but I want to get to 77.11, and eventually hope for 72.57. I'll settle for somewhere in between the two if need be*
We did have lovely fish and chips in Windsor I think is the name of the area. We had visited Windsor castle and stopped at a pub after. It was good! :)

    I was born in Windsor.
Not too far from that castle. Well, fancy that.

Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the place, but you might know which one. It's the one nearest the castle... :) We took a bus from one of the stations in London to get out that way. It took an hour I'm sure; at least that long... It was scenic and cool. Very nice castle as well. They explained about flying a certain flag for when the royals are on castle grounds. I don't remember if the Queen was there or elsewhere either I'm afraid.

It must have been a long time ago, as the railway station no longer exists. lol
Yes there is a flag that flies when the Queen is in residence.
