It makes me sick to see people act like they can bash on others for not liking the kind of music they do, and tell us we're ruining a scene that's been ruined for years. So yea I'll pull out the dick measurer, and mine is way fatter and longer than his. So what?

Anyways, since we've determined everyone's penis size relative to mine- What is everyone's favorite style of jam-band? The more bluegrass oriented or what? I am into funky stuff myself like Soulive, Karl D, MMW etc...

 

Yea, reasoning doesn't work with people like that. There are filthy bastards all around who act like they've done some shit... when in reality they are nothing. So it's fun to put people like this in their place... Or I could just be really passive like you and let him rant and rave without saying anything... It's a toss of a coin, how I feel that day etc.. today I felt like being a dick right back to a dick.

 

But, let's talk jam bands like I already tried to get back to... Anyone catch Galactic's set at the roo? I was wicked tired and had to catch some z's...

 

i really dig the jamgrass scene... HBRSB, YMSB, LOS... i also like more traditional sounding jambands... mellowed out jam bands like tea leaf green, big wu, GD, phish, moe., .... i like all jam music... strung out jam sessions rock... nothin like burnin one down while groovin out to some stretched out jams

 

Heck yes, I'll be burning a few gorilla fingers tonight probably listening to either The Word's roo show (again heh) or a herbie hancock show from 6-9.

You ever heard the hendrix bootleg with traffic (i think sometimes people name the bootleg as him with stills)? That's a really sick jam session right there.

Also, just wondering why I'm hearing people hate on Panic so much? To me it sounded nothing like Dave Matthews so I don't know why someone said "people who listen to panic think matthews is god.." I dunno I heard panic at both roo shows for the first time and thought they were pretty good in comparison to some of the other shit I saw a little bit of at the roo like Particle and Modest Mouse.

 

maybe its just posers who try to act like theres better.... like people who hate on phish.... big deal if they are popular.. you dont have to nag on them... they're still good... i think alot of people just try to act stuck up and try acting more "heady" or whatever by pulling lesser known jambands out of their ass... as for dave mathews though.... i never really cared for them myself... (for others)_______ <-- insert random bashing on artist previously mentioned, thats just for people who would go "they fuckin suck, yadda yadda" i listen to more jam music than anything else.... i just now got a nice crisp version of Ekoostik Hookah and of Umphreys... they fuckin rock man... wish i could have found better bootlegs earlier in my searches so i would've gotten into them earlier

 

It's not just "kiddies". There are just too many people all about the drugs.

I've been to plenty of shows...and I've been sober for every single one, thank you.

 

sorry if i directly offended you... i usually use the word "kiddie" in the sence of people who do not put priorities in order... say for instance a festival... priorities are having fun and listening to great music and meeting kynd folk... not getting fucked up... kiddies = people who act childish and stupid

But since when has Widespread Panic, String Cheese Incident, and Umphrey's McGee been "preppy" jam bands? I can understand how you say that about Dave, but honestly, that's a ridiculous statement.
