* Yawn* Ahhhh I just took a really nice nap I didn't get much sleep last night. I went to bed at 3am then had to wake up at 6am to take 2 buses to my job. I am so grateful that I have a job it doesn't matter what I have to do to get there I am just happy that I am making money so I can pay rent and get what I need. Right now keeping a job is tough for most people. A lot of people are losing their jobs and those people usually have a lot more to responsibilities then me. Some people have their family to take care of. I am just grateful I have what I need. I really hope you all feel the same and I hope everything is going well for you all
Im close to loosing my job! Every time our state does its budget cuts...guess what gets cut first??? Funding for special needs programs! We have soooo many children on our waiting list who are in dire need of services but we cant take them due to lack of funding! Its sad because children with autism have a small window of opportunity to learn before their little brains make synapses and can no longer grow.
It's the same up here too. Cut backs are being made and we will lose a few teachers and most of our special needs assistants, etc.
isnt that horrible? WE are taking money away from the people who need it the most! Special needs programs and programs for the elderly are always first to go
Sooo true and so sad. I can't believe they would do something like that but its happening all over. People are loosing jobs, children loosing their education horrible just horrible. I helped out a special needs class when I was in high school and they where just wonderful. Its sad that our government isn't giving them a chance to learn. Bcmama and Mandyland you both work for schools that help children with special needs?
I don't, but my close friend works at my daughter's school and she may lose her contract next year as a special needs teacher.
Its hard for schools to come across nice, patient teachers. When I was in high school and I was helping out that class like I mentioned before their where some pretty nasty people working with those kids. I had a hard time seeing how they treated them. My sister is in learning support and I really dislike how they treat everyone.
Omg same xD I see other people's rooms at uni who have OCD and they are ssooooo tidy... Only have a few items in their room... Mine is completely the opposite I'm such a home girl and I have eVERYTHing from my room back home at my uni room, but because of my OCD everything has its place and if anything moves or I can't find it I freak out I have to calm down a little when my bf comes over cus he sprawls his stuff everywhere It hurts xD I keep myself happy by tidying his stuff into little neat piles I've just scooped up all his loose change into a double shot glass hehe. I'm afraid that when people with OCD see my room they won't believe I have it They'd say like "Oh no don't be silly" Like so many other people have said to me But meh, all to their own lol.
All three of my aunties are teachers and I think one or two are special needs teachers, and a few of my mum's friends are special needs teachers and they are really lovely people- So luckily all aren't nasty... Its a shame that there are some who are
Luckily there is a group of good people out there. It is a shame that some people are just not patient and kind hearted like the others.
