yay a random conversation thread! Anybody Jewish? I witnessed my first Shabbat ceremnoy last friday and it was awesome. Oh I wish I were ethnic! Any ethnicity really. I have Scottish heritage Im told, but thats it. My family never speaks of where we all come from. It makes me sad. So...lemme rephrase my first question.....any ethnic people here? If so, what do you do? I love human rituals and ethnic traditions. I also love falaffal but thats a little off subject. Oooo speaking of food I had the best asian tofu wrap today and I made my own carrot apple lemon juice! 3 cheers for juicers! Im excastatic. Anywhoooo.....SE sorry to hear about your foot surgery man! Hope all is well! Hope my above rant doesnt make me sound like a fat ass! wowza...I just like tofu and carrots they make me excited...not sexy excited [just thought I should clarify]..no just happy...ya know?! Anyways...Im done rambling now.
    Peace

This whole thread has me cracking up! I really needed a good laugh, thanks guys. Phil, what you said about Disturbed hit very close to home LOL I actually saw disturbed when they were an opening act for STP in 2000 (I think it was). It was awesome. He was in an electric chair, they are chanting off all of his counts of rape, murder, etc., the head piece goes up in flames and he flies out of this chair in an orange jump suit, "Oooooo ah ah ah ah!!!" It was awesome. I'll never forget. It was STP, Fuel and disturbed in one show. Ever seen Scott Weiland naked? He totally stripped on stage to bare his ass while his crew brough him an American flag to wear around his waist, without missing a beat he propped one foot on a speaker to lean over sing, I know the front row caught an eye full LMAO

Totally OT, but the music talk is right up my alley.

SE - I hope your surgery goes well and I didn't even realize beastiality was that real - that's sad :(

Any Tool fans here? I saw them about 6 years ago maybe? Changed my life. Maynard did the whole show naked and painted all chalky white....it was neat. The fry screen was ginormous and had naked people hanging upside down from their ankles dancing in front of it. Wow, come to think of it there was a lot of nakedness at that show! Im more into folksy music usually but Tool is one of the few harder bands I can listen too.

    :drool5: tool be the shit!

Sounds like an intense show too! Maynord has a soothing strong voice. As weird as he may be, I respect it and love it.

Cor, when soaringeagle gets back from his op he's really gonna have his work cut out catching up on this place...you can't turn your back for two minutes without a hundred more pages appearing!
Yay to all the bands and lmao to Dragonvine doing the macarena to Disturbed. Tool are amazing...they're almost like a metal version of classical music, so much depth and complexity.

Mabster, how do the Shetlands compare to the Orkenys? One of my fave authors is an Orcadian, George Mackay Brown. I'd really like to just spend a couple of months touring round that whole area...
