*sigh* we dont get snow this bad regularly.... so why waste money having all the equipment when it happens like once everyy 10 or more years?

im not the most pro government person, but i prefer as little waste of taxes as possible

exactamundo. i dont think ive ever known snow to fall this much, and stay around for this long. thats what all the fuss is about. yeah we were warned about it, and i know that on monday just gone the roads werent gritted, but that was when we'd only had about a tenth of an inch of snow.. so the grit wasnt needed.

Can i chip in here and say that britain can't deal with this sort of shit because I) most people are tards and II) people who arn't tards are too scared to take an initiative. There are grit bins every quater mile or so, and driving / walking on snow / ice isn't an issue if your careful. Too many years of H&S culture and a lack of manual jobs has made us soft and weak.

Grit isn't really for the snow..
    It's for ice..
If it was forecast for cold temps and the council didn't grit they are silly muppets.
Grit is ineffective at a certain temp anyway.

I still find it funny .. soo much mayhem lol

Sorry to do this, but it's bugging the hell out of me now.

    "Your" means "belonging to you".

If your intended meaning is "you are", what you should be typing is "you're".

What brought it on was everyone typing "your" when they mean "you're" :p Not necessarily in this thread, but I thought I should do my grammar crusading here :p

English is not a codified language, spelling grammar and pronunciation are completely arbitrary. Just consider yourself lucky that we can understand each other.

I just need to get something off my chest

I hate stairs stupid stupid stupid stairs

    I also hate couches

    and cold weather

    and being sleepy

    and snow/ice

on another note I've lost 5 pounds in 4 days from running around taking care of myself plus my boyfriend and my mom

well I really haven't taken care of myself

well I did buy a purse last night its big and yellow <3
I'm just tired of carrying my wallet, keys, cell phone, cigs, and random other things in my pockets when ever I go anywhere and its even worse when I put on a pair of pants and forget they don't have pockets.
I bought a wallet too because I'm tired of dumping my whole wallet out to find something.
The boyfriend hasn't seen the wallet or purse yet but I know he will make fun of it because of the size and colour.

Ok sorry this is long but I feel much better now.
