Sadly not such a big mystery. If you're working an exploitative job and toiling your life away just to support your family and not really living a life, it becomes very easy to sell you on the idea that YOU are the working class, and they point to those of us who get government checks and frame it like we're getting a handout. The Money in the Public Treasury is specifically allocated to "promote the general welfare ."

Second thing is they start with the premise that Western Civilization is some great marvel of peace and prosperity, and that starts them on American exceptionalism, or the cultural equivalents thereof wherever there is a Capitalist ruling class.

Then, when oppressed people show any signs of suffering, you portray their misery as a sign of their inferiority. That's easy, because you were a colonist, you see, so you've already had a considerable history of looking down on "primitive" people.

By the way-- did you know hunter gatherers "work" an average of 15 hours a week? And it can hardly be called work because it is all stuff we enjoy doing. Crafting (shelters, clothing, tools) Hunting, gathering wild herbs and exploring nature, hunting, fishing. I find anthropology to be a great source of information backing such things as socialism, anarchism, etc.,

The guy toiling his life away and being told the libtards just want to give everyone a handout, the god damned socialists, they're the ones who would benefit from becoming acquainted with this fact.

War? Well, if you're the "greatest country in the world" then you have many reasons to justify war, don't you?

People can talk themselves into anything. In fact it is in our nature, in our monkey minds. The Psychedelics I've been on over the years, and now the fasting and meditation has taught me to still my mind and listen. If you're real good at intense introspection, you start to question everything that YOU may have done to justify believing some falsehood. And when you recognise your own propensity to cling to what YOU want to believe, you suddenly can have a more organic apporach to these people.

I had this old Hippy friend Styve, a Jewish blues musician from New York, and he let me do odd jobs on his ranch and I used to marvel when we hauled our trash to the county dump and we'd see this guy up there:

Who expressed himself as quite a Trumpest in limited vocabulary, but those two would gab nonstop, like as if Styve wasn't even paying attention if politics would come up and stumble right into an argument...

But the thing is, Styve would make some non commital comment that closed the conversation without appearing not to aknowledge or engage in this guys point at all! He was a marvel, and now I am learning to be the same way.

I'm really convinced now that we are all the same being, the only difference between me, you or anyone else is our circumstances and the context our lives have taken because of them.

My wife taught me some weird shit, like she taught me to talk to birds. Now I'm talking to trees, rattlesnakes, sotols, cactus, rocks, the sun, the stars... so why not learn to be a human whisperer?
