June 15th; The Rosewood Redemption:

January 1923, Fanny Taylor a young white woman of good breeding was raped by a negro named Jesse Hunter who recently escaped from a chain-gang near Gainesville Fla.

While acting precipitously; a small group of law abiding white citizens took it upon themselves to see that justice was served by lynching dozens of innocent bystanders (including children) in the mostly black community of rosewood.
