"Claire." was a guy previously known as UFO who stole my identity He tried to slyly promote racial hatred in: http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2697 Then spammed my forum (UK Parties and Protests: http://www.hipforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=138 ) and sent me threatening PM's cos I am anti-Facist. He was banned twice as "UFO" and "UFO."... then came back as "Claire." I've now also had porn sent to my email address, which I'm presuming he's behind Am very upset about the whole thing and just hope Skip bans his IP address before he comes back Love Clairexxx p.s. This explains a lot! As Claire(the genuine article) knows I am not around much at the moment cos of computer probs, but in one of my brief visits I came across most unClaire like post by someone called "Claire". I am glad to find that the imposter has been banned, and to the real Claire, big hugs, sorry you are having this problem, its ironic that this creep has latched on to one of the nicest people on these forums. it is a free speech forum, I mean, you have the right to post anything you want, and others have a right to post a reply. No matter how rude or personally wrong we find it, thats the point of the forums... I don't think it's fair to actually single out a person and ask them to be removed because you dont like them. What kind of world would it be if everyone agreed with you?
I agree, people shouldn't be banned just because you disagree with them or take a personal dislike to then... that would be unfair. However, Harrassment is against the law (in the UK it carries a 5 year sentence), as is inciting racial hatred. Also there are certain guidelines that the Hip Forums work under. I.e. No flamers, trolls etc etc.
True as well Claire. If someone was putting up pornography or selling things and that was all they did I could understand a banning... or suspension
We All Shine On, I take it you have now read about Claires problems,she was being harrassed by this person who had impersonated her computer identity, and sent pornographic e-mails. How would you feel if someone did that to your online ID? This has nothing to do with free speech, I would not support banning someone just because I did not agree with what they said, and neither would Claire.
I came to read this thread because I couldn't imagine why anyone would want to get rid of the very lovely Claire--I love the real Claire!
