Let's Discover Some New Species

I don't really know of any campaigns to discover new species, other than the hunts for Big-foot, the Chupacabra etc.

So, I'm looking for people that want to try to find new species. I'm going to be hiking mountains in Colorado soon, and I'm thinking maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to leave a camera and some food out over night at each one.

Then I also want to visit Mayan/Aztec/Incan ruins in Mexico, Central America and South America. And I think it would be a good idea to do the same around those places...

Anyone else want to get on board, and do the same in your area and compare notes?
