The judgement against Trump was based on Executive Law § 63(12): The sum of $355 million was determined to be the amount of money Trump would not have made if he hadn't committed fraud. In addition he owes interest on that amount, bringing it to $450 million. He doesn't have to pay this immediately unless he wants to appeal the ruling, then he needs to get a bond. Trump claims to be a billionaire and has even said he has that much money in cash. Forbes estimates his net worth at 2.6 billion dollars and his recent listing of Truth Social will net him another 3 billion. That's 5.6 billion dollars. He can pay 1/2 billion dollars and still have 5.1 billion left over! Let me spell that out: $5,600,000,000 - $450,000,000 $5,150,000,000 average net worth of all U.S. citizens, $746,820 ...and you think the fine was excessive????

So why isnt Stormy Daniels just about sex? It’s hard to believe the best chance the Democrats have to score a criminal conviction against Donald Trump is the dog’s breakfast being served up by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg this week: a “hush money” case involving a porn star named Stormy Daniels with a convicted felon and serial perjurer as the star witness. Former federal prosecutor Andy McCarthy has the best line on this farce: Bragg “turns an uncharged misdemeanor into 34 felonies [but] when dealing with violent crime in Manhattan, he turns felonies into misdemeanors.”
Clinton was charged with lying to Congress and obstruction of justice due to his involvement with Lewinsky and impeached for that action. Impeachment is a political act. It all revolved around his statement that he didn't have sex with Monika. It came down to a definition of what sex is and how the word "is" is used. Clinton claimed that when asked if he had sex with her he said no referring to coitus and coitus had never occurred between them. Further when asked if he had a relationship with Lewinsky he replied, "there's nothing going on between us". He claimed he used the word "is", as a contraction, to mean that at that moment of questioning he had no relationship with Lewinsky. The Independent Counsel, Ken Starr, claimed the word "is" covered Clinton's entire life and therefore he lied to Congress. Starr claimed perjury but Congress disagreed and found he did nothing illegal at all. On the other hand $130,000 in hush money was paid to Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about Trump's sex romp with her, which did include coitus. We know the payment was made, we know there was an illegal attempt to cover up the payment. The only question is, did Trump authorize the payment? He is charged with 34 felony counts of falsifying records of the payment to reimburse his lawyer for the $130,000 he paid to Stormy, in violation of Penal Law §175.10. Congress is not involved, a charge of a violation of Penal Law §175.10 is not a political act.
SO WHAT IF IT'S POLITICAL? Whether it is or isn't, the main point is to keep that lying, crooked son of a bitch from ANY office now and in the future. This mean that you who are calling trumps legal troubles political are sticking up for him??
Crazy how you think that even if the banks that lent him the money say that he did nothing wrong, and nobody lost any money and all loans were paid back and everyone made lots of money, somehow because “you” disagree with what the value of his properties are worth, somehow he has committed fraud.
