Do you have a walk in clinic where you live??? Thay are usualy open until noon or so on Saturday.Well around these part of the woods anyway...
I haven't done much today, music lesson, lunch, sleep, on here, I did do some writing earlier. S'all lame though. Sleeping was the best.
Well I nearly sliced the top of my finger off on a jagged edge of an aluminum can. Fun times. My poor husband came home to a big ol' puddle of blood on the kitchen floor, me sitting on the floor near tears looking a sickly white with a bloody rag wrapped around my finger. He pulled the rag off, took one look at my finger, saw how bad the blood just kept coming and how deep I had cut through, and grabs the telephone book looking for one of the immediate care numbers. Now I knew it had to be pretty bad because he is never one to jump and do something like that. He is Mr. Cool, Calm and Collected. He's always "oh, it will be fine, you don't need to go to the hospital" with things. So that got me freaked out and I started bawling. I admit it, I turned into a big baby, told him I didn't want to go to the emergency room, that I didn't want stitches. So he comes over and looks at my finger for a second time, and as soon as I took the rag off and released pressure it started gushing again. He runs upstairs, grabs the emergency kit, comes back down, washes my finger off and quickly bandaged it super tight for me. He still thought I should get it stitched, but we were able to stop the bleeding and I really did not want to go. It just hurts like hell still. I haven't taken the bandage off, it bled through in some areas but my husband told me to leave it. He says "you don't want to look at it, just keep it covered, let it heal over. When it's time to change it, I'll do it." I guess I must have butchered it pretty good. Awww, got to love the guy. I'm just glad it happened when he was on his way home from work and not earlier during the day, or else I probably would have fainted, I swear! So now I'm pissy because anytime I extend the finger I cut on that hand it literally feels like it's been ripped in two, hurts like a bitch. It's like, I barely have to touch it for it to feel like it's throbbing! And I'm pissed at myself for being so careless! Ah well, at least it stopped bleeding and I didn't end up having to go to the hospital. So that was my exciting evening! Yay!
What is up with all the hurt people this weekend??? Ghost's neck is all a mess, and swollen lilbear straight up passes out, hurts hip,and head, did not even realize I hit my head, until hubby checks me from head to toe. hippychick cuts half her finger off, bleeds all over the place... I hope no one else is a hurtin today...
hippiechickmommy, you should have probably gotten stitches. that helps it heal faster. it'll probably take a really long time to heal now (it's too late to get stitches now). just make sure to keep tight bandages on it, and maybe some butterfly bandages to hold the wound together properly so it heals right. or super glue it. cause if it's bleeding through, that means it's having a hard time clotting, which means that the edges of the wound don't want to stick back together, and it might heal slightly open, which will give it a big scar and hurt way worse. but lol... i'm sure it will be fine. glad your hubby came home to rescue you.
my lil sexy mama don't be pissed at yourself...these things happen...can't tell you how many times i've done that or stepped on that part of the can and slice my foot open
for me, it usually happens with the dog or cat food can, where you pull the tab up and take the top off i don't have problems with the cans i have to use a can opener for
hippychickmommy- aww! ouch! at least hubby was taking care of you. i think its sweet. hope you heal fast! keep that tight, and maybe go for the super glue.
