Hey, I'm 19 years old, open-minded male, and I'm looking for a couple of Hippie roommates/commune that would take me in and show me how to live the legit Hippie life. I have a very strong spiritual connection, and I don't believe in a lot of social rules and whatnot's America has instilled in todays youth. I just want a very uncomplicated life. One where I'm at peace with myself, and I also have friends who think a lot like me. I am willing to find a job and work to help pay rent, but I would really like to just be accepted by my Hippie brethren. I currently reside in Houston, but once I find the perfect Hippie community, I will be on the first bus out of town. I am 420 friendly, and I use it as medicine... even though it isn't quite legal in Texas yet... lol! Anywho, please, feel free to respond if you have any questions, comments, or answers. Hi Dave, there is a whole section on Communal Living here: http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/forumdisplay.php?f=57 where you can find info about communes, and how to find the right one for you. I've not lived in a commune myself, so I'm not the best person to advise you on it. But that is probably the best place for you to start!
