These are children aged 13 - 15 who have kept guard at this tomb of the unknown warrior 24/7 Summer and Winter since the tomb was erected during WW II. When I was in Irkutsk in January 1983 the day-time temperature was - 35 o C and dropped a lot lower overnight and still these children remained on guard.
