LTJ are one of those bands I always forget how much I enjoy until I hear them again. I have a few other bands like that too. When they randomly pop up on my mp3 player I'm always like "Oh yeah, I forgot about them" That ALWAYS happens when H2O comes on. Have you ever listened to them? From what I've listened to of their new album so far I like it.

Yeah I used to listen to them a bit back in the day!

Out of the old ska bands... my top two are probably LTJ and [spunge]. But I do like Rancid and I miss Spankboy and Farse!

Ah those were the days! Mad Caddies were cool too!

I've made it through half of the new album but I'm gonna have to leave soon so I'll have to continue listening later. Love it so far.

    Yeah nice isn't it? ^_^

I always prefer their more positive tracks to the more downer-ish ones, but it's all a good album. It's a bit more positive than GNV FLA I think.

I think I've said before I enjoy ska but I've never really gotten too far into it. I liked Operation Ivy. LOVE Rancid although that is on the cusp of ska. I wouldn't consider them ska but you can hear the influence in some of their songs. I used to listen to LTJ back in the day but not on a regular basis. I've listened to Mad Caddies. I can't even think of the other bands I've listened to right now. I prefer bagpipes, accordions and mandolins over horns most of the time so I tend to lean more towards the Irish punk rock.

I went to a music festival in September and there was a ska band there that was basically like a school band. I swear to god there had to have been 30+ people on stage all with horns. I can't remember what they were called. It was just a lot of horn but it made me smile.

Yeah I really like horns! (no double entendre o_O)

    I find them so jovial!

Are they one of those bands with people in their late thirties / early forties trying to be in their mid twenties? Ska Punk > < Torture.

Absolutely. They make me smile. I'm making it through the whole album because the husband had to work late. Great music. I'm probably good with ska for the next few weeks now. I enjoy it but after 40 minutes of it I'm ready to listen to something else. It would be a great addition to my random mix on my mp3 player.

I'm not in my late 30's yet. Different strokes for different folks. Ohhh, did you mean the band? Then yeah, probably but as long as they still enjoy what they do and people like to listen to it then who cares. Look at the Rolling Stones and that god awful human being Paul McCartney. They are getting old but refuse to realize it.

what does "trying to be in your twenties" entail?

    Aren't people just people?

I had a blast in my 20's. I'm totally enjoying my 30's too. I'm just a little more tame now. My 20's were kind of crazy....by my standards. Not compared to other people I'm sure.

    I meant the band...

I think the RS are aware of how old they are...and have also spread out into different musical spheres. They have more than one note.

I hate PM, too... awful man.

    I wasn't being 100% serious.

Damn, Are you telling me I only have a few more years of wearing shorts and making stupid faces? I better take full advantage of my years before I get too old to have fun. :dizzy2::willy_nilly::ack2:

You are taking me too serious. I'm rarely ever serious and definitely not about ska.

:p - fair enough. I was treading carefully, rather than taking it too seriously, to be honest.

You are allowed to still have fun. Just not in shorts.
