well after letting the 'cat' [virus] out of the bag their lovely city of Shanghai is under lock down but reportedly many other cities also. Yes the phrase " it has come back to bite you in the bum" seems appropriate - You may have started it China but now you will have to work hard to finish it. I first encountered a "wet market" many moons ago in HK - smelly dirty places with smelly food too - a breeding ground for viruses - another old adage comes to mind - which sounds almost Chinese! - " if you sleep to close to your dog you may catch its fleas"

me too perhaps time for some re-gurgitations - climate change perhaps ? - well the brits have been having some lovely Indian summers heh and doin wot they do best - complaining about it - wait till the winter comes with the winter bills more complaints!! - Oz now has a new govt which looks younger and sparking - lets hope it comes up with the goods and of course eyes are on the south pacific viz a viz china vying for command of the small island nations and warning others away from Taiwain could be a hot summer or nuclear cold winter??

I was saying to my son the other day I would like to live another decade or so we do live in exciting times - UK goin down the nick heh - europe gasping for more gas from Russia and Russia playing a very dangerous game - close to starting a nuclear war?

We just booked a trip to Berlin just before Christmas.
Now I find out they will have power cuts.
No Christmas lights!!!
I am sure the UK will follow.

my family she asks??? - spread about all over the globe and no one cares about the elderly anymore - it's even happening in China where filial piety was once one of his major pillars of stability - now the OAP homes are increasing as the young are all working and too busy to care for the elderly - wot a crap world it seems to becoming?

 

I have been visiting LS on the OFF forum occasionally but the old zest has disappeared - you can feel the tiredness in Jem ; spitty has disappeared up his own ??????????? even the scots lady has pulled out - your cousin still makes cameo appearance bless his cotton socks - the place in general though is a feckin shambles - like a mad Wuhan market place!!

wot is this planet coming too - some say its in the most peaceful times of all?? - the SE asian seaboard is an interesting place to be - China bristling around Taiwan and solomon isles and everyone getting nervous! - still we have the QUAD alliance that should be a reasonable defence wall for a while and the yanks still sail the high seas here - the Indians can't make their mind up whether they are arthur or martha but it's good to have them around and they have just launched their new super cruiser. yes someone is minding the shop and I think the islands are gonna benefit from all this bristling attention!

yes my bro passed away in Spain 5-6 years ago and i wasn't able to get there at all - his wife is now no longer interested in keeping in touch but I think that is because me and he were so alike it confuses her? Her son came over to oz once and stayed with me a while but now can't be bothered to keep in touch - I do hate impoliteness especially in families
