I was dreaming I was talking on the phone to Lithium in bed, chattering away about 30s poetry. Then I woke myself up by shouting "Hello? Hello!? Why aren't you talking?" Once I was awake I realised I actually had my mobile phone in my hand and had believed he was there on the other end:confused:

I was randomly bastardising bicycles...for it felt like eternity.
I did not fix one that could be used.
    The end.

I was playing ping pong with someone I didn't know and I was playing really well.

Going to a ping pong sing song night on Saturday, so a premonition perhaps?

That it was written in the 1930s?

I think that's more facetious than true.
Thanks for clearing nothing up at all.

    Fair enough.
Seemed a bit pretentious on first reading.
I'd not put a little bit of pretentiousness past you.
    Sorry.

Why would it be pretentious? It was a dream. And that was in it. And I just meant poems written in the 1930s. I'm lost

    Think about it...
...Somebody is having a random dream about poems from the 1930s.
If nothing else it's quite funny.
I'll be having a dream about 16th century art next week.

I might just be a common lad, tbh...but it certainly sounded pretentious.
I've always had a slight feeling you were a tad pretentious.
    I could be way off.
I imagine we all have certain assumptions about people.

It's rather petty and ridiculous to insult someone over the content of their dreams, isn't it? Even for you that's pretty low. You don't choose the content of your dreams, but they come from things you know about. Why is it pretentious to know something about poetry or art?

You say "16th century art" as if it's the most random thing. Surely the Renaissance would be something that most people, if they're at all interested in art, or paid any attention in school, would know something about? Michaelangelo, Leonardi Da Vinci, Titian. Dramatic and powerful stuff... But then I always had a slight feeling you were something of a slow-witted dullard. Could be way off...

It wasn't random at all. As you don't know me, you wouldn't know that.

I think people who make these assumptions are often trying to shape the person they're dealing with into something they can better understand. It seems to be easier for you to think I'm putting on a front rather than to understand that I'm just a decent, honest person with interests and dreams and things to say about life. Maybe some people are even genuinely interested in poetry or art. Imagine that!

I've never said a bad word about you here, so the fact you're trying to provoke a negative reaction by insulting me over a dream I had just seems pathetic and says far more about your character than mine.

Isn't the point of dreams, to dream about weird things. We don't control our dreams, they are just influenced by random things that we've done, seen, and experienced. To leap to an assumption of someone being a certain way in their personality, because of something that happened in a dream, I find to be an extremely odd concept. I had a dream myself once that I killed someone; does that make me instantly a murder?

    Anyway...

It wasn't last night, as the sleep fairy decided not to visit. *grumble*

But, the last dream I had, my lover and I went to a therapy meeting. Only this time it was being held in one of those BP garages/coffee bean/shop, and in the center of this garage were padded arm chairs and a coffee table. Instead of being behind a normal counter, the till was on a long bar, and there were several barstools, so you could sit and chat to whoever was behind the counter.

My lover was in the midst of therapy, and I was up at the barstool talking to Russell Brand. o_O Who evidentally couldn't hack it in the US, and decided to take up working at a BP Garage instead? While still pursuing some sort of comedy career here in the UK and Europe.

I don't remember much else, as something disturbed my sleep and I didn't fall back into this dream. It was just odd.

It wasn't designed to be an insult at all.
I like fingermouse...why would I wish to intentionally insult her?

    You don't say.

    Nothing at all.
Like I said,... I might be a common lad...it came across as a tad pretentious...(but) fair enough.

    You are.
Fair play for standing up for your g/f, though.
    I respect that.

That's very true. I did apologise.

I'm not trying to do that...I admitted it was an assumption, and again, I apologised. You don't know me fully, either, do you?...so you may have taken my slightly abrupt language as more than it was intended to be.
I'd forget most of what I said and just focus on: "Fair enough" "Sorry".

Lets remember you were the person who took great offense to me doing this:  ....you made an assumption about me there, did you not?
I think you later appreciated I wasn't quite the swine you thought...heck, you even added me as a friend

I know you are a: "decent, honest person with interests and dreams and things to say about life." :)

I'm not trying to provoke a negative reaction.
    Please remember: "Fair enough" "Sorry".

I find all of your dreams interesting. My dreams however are normally nightmares and incredibly lucid. My doctor actually wanted to prescribe me a drug that will make dreams go away...I said " there is a drug to make dreams go away?...seems there's a drug for just about anything these days, no thanks. I'll keep my dreams" I sometimes wake up crying, but hey that's me.
