Concorde had an impressive cruising speed of MACH 2.02!, would have easily beat ALL commercial planes.

    Boeing 777 speed 0.84
    Boeing 787 speed 0.85
    Airbus A380 speed 0.85
    Boeing 747-400 speed 0.855
    Boeing 747-8i speed 0.86
    Cessna Citation X+ speed 0.935

Only one that could beat Concorde was the military blackbird. No big deal.

    Lockheed Blackbird 3.2

Their are planes that can fly at MACH 7, but the problem is that they cant carry enough fuel to reach cruising altitude, let alone go anywhere. During development, the manufacturers thought that a nuclear fusion engine was on the horizon, but sadly, it is just not happening. Even if it did, it would be a while before any countries allowed them to fly over their country or land at their airports.
