The original post was intended to make a point about the need for more temperance in one's replies of which most are used to harrange many into submission. Some people just end up leaving the forums ...

Allow me to substantiate...'for my purposes'.

You may have posted on a thread some time ago concerning manners. And the lack of them. I started that thread so as to gauge the thoughts of others on the subject.
On this matter I am 'indignant', the points I notified in the above post can be coupled with, miserliness, whinging and leak liveredness.

I'm thinking that we've met each other on our past points without delivery. The antagonism I feel inherant in some of your posts have caused me to respond in kind. I think that one ought to expect 'what goes around to come around'.
Class concious digs and prophane language, invites an equally low responce.
And so it continues.

But I'm ready to be the bigger man, and offer a handshake to settle this. For the betterment of this forum.

 

So in other words, you'd just like to insult me one last time before making an empty gesture of reconciliation that you hope makes your behaviour look a little more reasonable? For someone who's so quick to criticise others, you do seem to throw around a lot of insults. Come back and ask again when you're feeling a little more sincere.

There's no insult in those words. You've intentionally misread it. Substantiate means to give reason and form to something. Once you've had a good nights sleep then have another read at this. You'll find my meaning clear.
I'm sorry if you find magnanimity insulting. I was trying to give some ground by saying we'd both failed to make our points smoothly. Perhaps you can meet me in the middle on that then.
