and it's required for life. that's crazy. It's like your operating system needs to shut down and revert to a more DOS-like environment for 1/4 of your day to make sure you can function well. Defragging your soul . ..
yeah dude could we ever transcend sleeping? are there any advanced civilizations somewhere in the cosmos that have evolved from sleeping? damn.
Its amazing how all living creatures on earth require it....Doesnt that tell you their is something bigger to the big picture....I watched a video on youtube before saying how everything is on a DMT circut, i believe Joe rogan or Terrence Mckenna was talking about it I remember a while back when me and my friend used to smoke alot of weed, we were talking and he came up with the theory that DMT is a drug that is required by living things the same way a addict would need a fix...Think about it if we dont get sleep we go through like withdrawls kind of, drowziness, nodding off haha....Its pretty amazing
I think that sleep is necessary simply because certain processes require that you use a function of the body, and in order to maintain these functions, they must be 'turned off'. A creature could turn its parts on and off many times in a day, but at some point it is going to have to turn off its sober conscious reality functions in order to maintain them. Since, in this time, the animal is unlikely to be moving, it is inteh animal's best interests to spend this time maintaining the rest of the body as well as the brain, for this way the whole body can be shifted from an 'on' state to a 'down-time' state and maximise its resource management. I dont think there is anything spiritual or of mighty significance to sleep other than as a necessary aspect of living in a biological organism. as for deconstructing language.. i actually have done this in the comedown and follow-up to some more-recent trips. now it is a matter of reading Noam Chomsky and his contemporaries in order to find out what I how my understanding compares to modern Linguistics. what I have learned is that it is one thing to understand the world but it is an entirely different thing to be able to communicate what you understand, and in the end, the latter is all that really matters.. Until you can communicate something then you are holding onto it purely by faith... which is not inherently wrong.. but people need to understand this before they start telling the world that they have cracked onto something or found the secret of the universe. until they can communicate it, they are just dealing with some isolated faith, which may as well be a seed of 'craziness' for all anyone else knows.
