    . . . personally
I get a kick out of the justifications
    The rationalizations
Men use to style their pubes
Metrosexuals that prim for the mirror and their partner
    Mostly the mirror

    . . . "hair in my teeth"
Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years of oral sex
Suddenly, this is a hygeine epidemic
When the panties and the boxers hit the floor
    Does anyone hesitate?

My wife and I keep our pubic region closely trimmed. This is mornal routine we have had for years. We like it trimmed but not picky, because we do oral on each other.

    lmfao this response.

Personally I'm trimmed, heard from too many chicks that shaven on a guy makes them feel funny, plus stubble for both parties fucking sucks.

    . . . a shaved man. a trimmed man
Leaves me with a lot of questions
    What is the REAL reason?
Are you doing it for her or for you?
Are you worried about your size?
Do you spend maybe a little too much time in the mirror?
Do you expect me to do the same?

Hundreds and hundreds of years ago most people probably bathed maybe once or twice as week as well which is well below the "normal" standard in today's day and age. As technology advances, habits change. Woman shave their legs, their underarms, they pluck their eyebrows, etc. all of which likely wasn't very common hundreds of years ago.

As to me, it's not so much a hygienic issue as a preference for woman. I much prefer the look and feel of a smooth pubic area on a girl just as I prefer shaved legs and armpits. The feeling of my hands touching bare skin is a turn on that isn't the same with a bush pubic region. In my experience it also keeps the smell and taste "fresher".

As for myself, I do maintain my area as well. Sometimes completely shaven and sometimes trimmed. My thought is that if it is something I prefer in my wife, then I should put in the same effort. And to me, the sex feels better when there is no friction. The feeling a two freshly shaved areas sliding back and forth is very different than two hairy areas. Also, I love the feel of her fingers and lips and tongue in the area around my penis when it is freshly shaven. There is heightened sensitivity that does not exist when there is a lot of hair in the way...and cold finger on my warm skin can feel amazing.

As far as hesitation..I'm not going to freak out over some hair. However, I am not a fan of a big, fat bush and if I were ever with someone else and pulled down their pants to discover a forest of hair that exceeded the threshold of their panties, I would probably be very turned off...the same way I would be if I discovered they had hairy legs or hairy armpits...just my personal preference.

    Pubic hair as fashion
A byproduct of the online norm for porn

    Your legs and underarms
    I bet they are shaven
    Buy why

I think most men would ageee that any part of the female body that is left to grow wild and freely of hair is unattractive. That goes for porn or personal relationship.

Because that was the way I was brought up
The same can be said with my pubic hair
And, working society within America implies the need for the removal of underarm and leg hair
(I work as a bar maid. a hairy-legged bar maid in a short skirt would probably kill my tips)

I'm not sure what the ratio of those that prefer hairless to hair-full, but I know there are definitely those out there that prefer things au-natural...just not my cup of tea.

    Everyone has their own opinion
    Your opinion is your own
    Other men have their opinions
    Yours is not universal
There, of course, is the opinion of women.

    Interesting though
This thread is meant for women
Yet, seemingly well occupied by men

And I'm sure the way you were brought up has much to do with your family, but also your friends. I'm sure at some point in your life, your friends started shaving their legs, maybe before you did and at that point you probably decided you needed to as well. I'm sure girls peak in the locker room and are influenced by other girls pubic hair as well. I can imagine a girl with a huge bush may be ridiculed by others if she deviates completely from the locker room norm.

All I am saying is of course society and media has a lot to do with this, but it's just not porn. Look at any "fit" magazine in the grocery store that has a girl in a bikini on it. It's obvious these girls shave their pubic hair. Look at any Victoria's Secret, Frederick of Hollywood, etc. catalog.

As for guys, yeah porn has a lot to do with it, but if the viewer deems it is more appealing or believes that the woman find it more appealing, then why wouldn't he try to emulate? I know that I feel better and more confident when I look down and see a maintained area in a similar way that I do after a fresh haircut or a facial shave.

A whole lot of discussion and justification to trim or shave something that does not be a "maintained area".

Someone is making money off of this
