Yes. I was a music promoter, and he was extremely douchy.

He didn't like women in general, is what they said.

They were the people he was with. I dunno who they were. Execs or dope dealers. Could never tell back in the 90s.

You can meet anyone when they are having a bad day and that first impression will stay with you. Kurt however was never said to be eternally jolly.

Nirvana has been one of my favorite bands since I was twelve years old when my dad showed them to me on the radio.....They're one of the only band that resonates with me on such a deep level. Kurt Cobain himself was seemed like a really intelligent interesting guy who had a lot of demons and used music as his outlet. He put so much fucking passion into his songs.....something lacking in today's music.

That's what some people said when Nirvana came around as well :D I think it's funny how even open minded listeners' music taste is partly formed by the trends of their years growing up. I rarely see someone who was into music before the 90's proclaiming Nirvana has become their fav band. But the 'something is lacking in today's music' statement was already well proclaimed by older folks to me in the 90's. And yes, when it comes to the current popular stuff like all this indie bands I could proclaim the same :p

I was listening to music in the 80's and nirvana became my favorite band, before them it was rick springfield and def leppard, in the late 80's I didnt listen to the radio much because all the top rock music was those glam hair bands which were shit. And anyone that says any particular decade is bad is only focusing on the bad...there is good and bad in every decade. I will admit though that it is few and far between when finding music now that is good but there is still a few new albums and songs I have bought or enjoy.

I love Kurt. His personality and his mind and his blue eyes were all so hot. He was so sensitive yet so funny. He had great stage presence...I loved how raw his voice really was without any distortion, he was so talented! I love himmm!

David Grohl is hawt too. That man is a INCREDIBLE drummer - one of the very best. :drummer:

....and agaIn, the 90s came along and eliminated the STUPID 80s right off the calendar and into the trash can....where the whole 80s music scene should have been in the 1st place!!! Luckily, there were bands like Nirvana, etc. that managed to make us all forget that Jacko's (king of pop MY ASS:):)!!!) and crappy Madonna's "music" was not all that shined under the musical sun.....THANX KURT, YOU SAVED US ALL FROM THE WIMPY STUPID 80S!!!!:):)

I agree the 90's was a much better decade for rock for my taste but I would not give Nirvana that credit. There was an underground rock scene that would become known as stoner rock that drew heavy inspiration from the 60's/70's fuzz, psych and blues rock. It seems to have developed largely apart from grunge and lasted a decade longer too.

Well, I only started listening to music seriously in the 90's and also with hindsight I have to say I found lots of good music in the 90's and the decade after it :) But like I said it's kind of remarkable to see how our taste often gets hooked on our youth/teen years. It still evolves though (even Nirvana has grown on me) :2thumbsup:

Frankly speaking, any kind of 90s music was better than any kind of music from the conservative 80s:love::2thumbsup::devil:

Haha, we agree. Of course there are always exceptions. Early Metallica is one in my book. Hmm metal seems to be one of the highlights in 80's music (not the hair and glam metal but stuff like Mercyful Fate and Iron Maiden)
