Wow such a scary and tragic scene.

 

imc /Instrument meteorological conditions. it can be done. but not all the low altitudes this helicopter was flying at. Pick the highest point along the flight plan and stay 1000 ft above the highest object. be it radio tower, or mountain. there is safety in altitude.

 

Oh, wow, I did not know this.

Awww, made me choke up....man!

 

BBC did a tribute. Spliced with pics of Kobe and his daughter was footage of Lebron James on the court. What a blunder. Every single shot they had was of James instead of Kobe.

 

Knowing the BBC, that was no blunder. Neither was the N-word from the MSNBC reporter. It would be interesting to know what their reasons were, though.

On the first part, agreed. On the second, not even trying to overshadow anything. Just wondering why the press acts that way, and why those responsible are still employed.

Regardless, such an untimely death is still quite sad, and seems pointless. The loss of his child is even more tragic, as her life was just beginning.

He coached right down the street from me. He was very well respected and a cool dude. Pretty sure one of his daughters was not on the plane and one was. Think he might have a son too. Sad story all around. Crazy how many people are affected by this. Mamba was a world wide star. RIP
