The new forms she made up -

Attorneys for Davis have argued that by omitting her name on the new form and saying they were issued under the authority of federal District Judge David Bunning, her office could continue to serve same-sex couples while maintaining a “clear conscience” for her. http://www.rawstory.com/2015/09/busted-lawyer-says-kim-davis-defied-judges-order-and-removed-her-name-from-marriage-license-forms/

I think she is going to be in deep shit for using a Federal Judge's name like she did.

The county clerks office in Rowan, KY says it has only denied one marriage license in the past two weeks.

"The denied applicant? "A gentleman who stated that he wanted a license that would permit him to marry 'Jesus,' " according to a document obtained by New York Times reporter Alan Blinder, who tweeted it today.
The document continues: "When it was explained to the individual that both parties had to be present, he stated, 'Jesus is always present.'
"After being denied, the gentleman returned later and presented a type of Power of Attorney document issued by his church granting him authority to sign 'Jesus' ' name."
The second party to the license, however, was not present, and the request was denied, according to the document." http://www.ajc.com/news/news/kim-davis-office-has-rejected-one-marriage-license/nnkGX/

what is this? a public affairs' effort to blow it over or keep stirring the pot? to exhibit that Davis hasn't denied any mariage licenses? to diminish the effects of those she did? to draw a parallel between men who want to marry actual living men and people who are mentally insane?

people can probably be that insane as to request marrying a symbolic figure, but the church issuing Powers of Attorney for someone who may or may not have existed over 2000 years ago? that's clearly bullshit. not to mention it's not legally possible.

    this story doesn't add up.

    I think this is wrong.

Ms. Davis, the Kentucky county clerk who cited religious liberty in refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples, will receive the “Cost of Discipleship” award Friday night. - at Family Research Council’s 10th annual Values Voter Summit this weekend in Washington. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/sep/23/donald-trump-kim-davis-to-speak-at-values-voter-su/

I think that if anyone deserves that award, it is the wife of Josh Duggar, former executive director at FRC!!!

Trump, Carson, Huckabee, Cruz, Jindal, Santorum, and Rubio will also be there to whip the faithful into fits of religious fervor.

That she is to receive any award at this point in time for any reason is baffling to me. :(

As far as I'm concerned it is the same as if she is receiving an award from the devil, from the exact evil she purports to so hate. I mean, who'd want that bullshit award? ;)

Why anything she does, aside from being impreached is of interest to the media is baffling to me. :)

I wish there could be some type of media black-ball on her...see how far her "cause" (rolleyes) goes then.

She really needs to be put back in a cage. This federal judge is also dragging his feet for diplomacy, something that pisses me off. The law is either one way or the other and should be obeyed by all ppl under its jurisdiction or they pay the consequences. I haven't heard anything more about the impeachment of this pain in the ass. Everyone in that backwater Buybull Belt state are afraid to come out against her illegal, unjustifiable tantrums for fear or an Inquisition or something.

if there was a society for the holders of lowest IQ scores and if they issued awards to people they thought were deserving -- would you really call that thing an 'award'?

    That's their schedule

The Kentucky legislature convenes in regular session on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in January for 60 days in even-numbered years and for 30 days in odd-numbered years. It convenes in special sessions at the call of the governor. The Kentucky Constitution mandates that a regular session be completed no later than April 15 in even-numbered years and March 30 in odd-numbered years.

I'm guessing the federal judge is being very careful to not give anyone a platform to attempt to overturn the SCOTUS equity ruling.
My reporting spidey sense is tingling at that one.

Altering a state document makes it null and void. Perhaps what she's after, a martyr to her brand of Xtianity, but not allowing same sex couples to marry.

Colorado's legislature is a short session one, as well. I'm now curious how many states have part time legislatures.

this was on Columbus Ohio news last night:

Chillicothe Municipal Judges Stop Performing All Marriages
By Shelby CroftWednesday September 23, 2015 7:31 PM
    UPDATED: Wednesday September 23, 2015 8:23 PM

    CHILLICOTHE, Ohio -
Judges stopped performing marriages in Chillicothe Municipal Court in June. The question is, why?
As our news partners at the Chillicothe Gazette first reported, the timing of the decision and how the word got out has many in the community wondering.
"I really think that this is an issue of wanting an impartial judiciary," Kate Meehan said.
Meehan is bothered by what's going on right now in Chillicothe Municipal Court.
"They never wrote it down, they never publicized it and they continued to perform marriages until the week of the Supreme Court decision," Meehan said.
That's the part up for dispute. The clerk told 10TV it was a verbal edict, which she was told by the judges in April they would stop performing marriages July 1. But a local pastor said he was told otherwise.
"We were told that they had stopped performing marriages sometime around April," Pastor Terry Williams said.
Court correspondence and records he originally requested showed the marriages stopped May 1.
"We found through the probate court that they had actually performed marriages as late as June 23," Williams said.
That's the date 10TV was given by the court. Three days before the Supreme Court ruled same sex marriage is legal.
"If the Supreme Court has said that all couples in this country are entitled to get married then I think it's up to our judges to respect that," Meehan said.
The court won't give a reason why it stopped marriages. A group spearheaded by Williams, Meehan and others are pressing for an answer.
The State Supreme Court Board of Professional Conduct issued an opinion directly after the ruling.
"That if they do cease to perform all marriages, that gives the appearance of bias and prejudice," Williams said.
The opinion goes on to say this sort of move by judges could rob people of their right to get married. That's Williams’ main concern.
While municipal judges aren't required to perform marriages, he argues it's their duty because not everyone feels comfortable getting married in a church.
"Is it your intention to discriminate against these people or is it your intention to continue fulfilling your responsibilities under the law?" Williams asked.
10TV tried to talk with the municipal judges, but neither has returned phone calls.
The group presented a letter to the judges, asking them to perform their duties or resign. The judges haven't responded.
