Jesus never killed in self defense. Jesus is the definition of what to do when faced with prosecution of any kind. I always thought that it was inevitable for Jesus to die simply because he refused to break any commandments. He knew what total devotion to his God would mean and the number of enemies he would have to stand up against. Throughout the Bible, prophets have allowed others to kill them in order to keep to their God's commands. Basically, it goes like this: "I don't recommend that you kill me because it'll get you into trouble with God, but do what you will. I hope my determination (which itself doesn't come from me, but God) changes your heart after the fact or maybe before the fact."
I hope I would NEVER be faced with such an issue , how could I live with myself if I had to hurt someone , take someones life.....I dont think a person could ever be the same after doing something like that.
My aunt is a devout Christian. She lives down south and is married to a pastor. She keeps canned goods in her basement in case of some sort of natural disaster and thinks George Bush is the second coming of Christ and that anyone who doesn't belong to her church is going to burn in eternal hellfire and SHE keeps a loaded handgun in her purse and would be happy to use it if anyone messed with her.
