im glad u noticed the important part of my post. balbus seemed to ignore this as it conveniently is the solution to the only major problem he has with free market. or the only problem he keeps bringing up. making a true free market is very easy. all u have to do is not give government any power to get involved with business.

    ...In your opinion.

Its just because I've realized that it is pointless arguing with you!!!

Not many people enjoy engaging in exercises of futility.

Drew I wouldn't worry about it. That seems to be what he says when he's fighting a losing battle.

Few can even wade through your epic posts Balbus. I think you use that as a defense many times.

I didn't find anything worth responding to. Really it just seemed like a long, dreary, incoherent, rambling polemic.

There was no substance to it at all.

Perhaps you'd like to try again, but this time put some thought into it? I mean it seems like you don't really have an argument, but just want to blabber on a while and then declare victory.

Damn good thing the government wasn't meddling with Enron,General motors,Aig,the mortgage industry, the banking industry,Chrysler, the real estate and appraisal services, the Energy industries-Duke et al)CIT,ect,ect.Yup.People are honest to the core and don't need any damn government to interfere in their business.I'm quite sure the free market will do as well as long as it's business as usual.

ya but the problem with ur logic scratcho is that the government was already messing around with the economy long before theose companies existed. IMO thats not a valid statement. besides as far as those are concerned, they are businesses and no matter how big a business is it does not have a right to exist. any business can fail and if they do poorly they should fail. there is no such thing as a bussiness that is too big to fail as barack says. thats just insane. the government also was messing around with those companies when they tried all that bail out crap. see where the bailouts have gotten us now? no better. the government does not help the people.

they shouldnt be watching it at all if this were a free market economy. but we dont have one of those in america. its become a socialist half free market. poor constitution gets ignored all the time. Our founding fathers would be ashamed of us and they would probably storm the white house if they could.

Wouldn't that be a personal problem, ridding yourself of greed?

Maybe if people put more effort to cleanse the impurities of their minds, we wouldn't see so many manifestations of those impurities.

ok im gonna say the same thing that i told balbus. the people watching over the "greedy" are we the consumers.
btw my personal opinion on "greed"- they made their money in an honest way. if they didnt its called stealing and they can go to jail for that hence Madoff and the Ponzi scheme. for those who made it honestly that u call greedy here is what i think. are they greedy or are u just jealous of them that you dont have what they have. they had an idea and a product that they could sell and they put in the time and effort. just because they may not give that money back to people for free doesnt make them greedy. if u get angry over it it makes u jealous. i am posting this as a 19 year old kid who works on a far and who strives to be a music teacher. i will never in my life be wealthy. it will not happen so dont post back saying that im only saying this because im wealthy. its my honest opinion as somebody who purchases from your so called "greedy" people.

LOL – I don’t claim my views are right, I’m just saying that they seem a lot more defendable than some others and over the years I’ve changed my viewpoint when a better argument than my own has been presented.

What I do find strange are those people that seem unable to defend things that they are all to happy to promote. They just seem like unthinking and unquestioning automatons and I think that is such a waste.
