What bugs me the most is that after so many years, there are more and more (totally revolting) people out there who are excusing and rehabilitating the men who gave the order to shoot and the guardsmen who did it, blaming the students for the massacre! That sad event changed my life forever even because I was only 11! Hands up who has never been a student at least once in their lives.
    WHEN WILL WE EVER LEARN!

5-4-70 was a monday also.i was traveling in ohio i was watching the news at a motel in springfield, ohio when i saw it on the tv...about 10 days later it happened again at jackson state university in ms...and other times in history around the world....i was just back from vietnam wanting to live the rest of my life in peace...yes the question to me is why issue these unseasoned soldiers ammunition?the bigger question is why someone would actually open fire into a group of students.?i'm sure they,ve grappled with quilt through the years.but so many questions remain.james michner wrote a book about the shootings,i'd like to learn more about the events at kent state, jackson state and those turbulent days 39 years ago.we should learn something from history.
