    hay ,
i have dreads and i cant just tuck my hair behind my ears. Sometimes i put it up in a bandana, pony tail, or pigtails but it flattens some of them. any ideas for a gentle way to keep my hair outa my face? i cant stand it, especially when im eating. its too short to pull the few peices in the front back( its above my shoulders).

    thanks for any ideas

    luv

    Lauren

headsocks, or a tam perhaps! Or if they are long enough you can use chopsticks(headsticks) in a "bun" of sorts:)

find a huge t-shirt and cut the sleeve off...and use that as a headband.

I have the same problem :p I know all the things 'bout headbands, tams etc (and I do have them) but when I need them they're nowhere to find :p

But why don't you visit the knotty know-how forum:

i think putting them back in a ponytail looks the best...better than letting them hang (just my opinion)....all your options have been said so take your pick....or.....CHOP EM!! haha

    buy a hat from catmagic

  10. Eh up.

I have a similar problem - not dreads, but lots of curly hair. I've found that a buff (in headband form) works really well and doesn't look too absurd.

I hope you find something that works, mate. :)

    Peace,

    Bunbury.
