  1. i know this should go in the health forums and i only want serious answers....

    what are some quick, non-drug options for constipation? :p

    like things around the house other then vegs.

    Anything with a lot of fiber in it.

    Certain beers - like Stouts and IPA's - are good for constipation I might add.

  5. Drink some prune juice... it tastes nasty at first, but after a few glasses you get used to it... I used to chug that stuff like water, I loved it.
    And damn, was I regular.

    Yeah, eat a bran muffin, chase it down with some prune juice, and then take a walk. Also, I might add that sometimes warming up the prune juice makes it a little bit better. You can sort of pretend that it's tea or something. :)

    if you do end up going out and buying some laxitives, follow the directions, taking more than what it says will just create a whole lotta pain in your stomach

    Go buy a big mac, let it sit out for a few hours preferrably by a heater or in direct sunlight. That ought to do the trick

    Apple Juice, Prune Juice, Dr Pepper, or diary if you're intolerant. :)

    Mineral oil. Just chug a few gulps of it. Not joking. It has no taste and one of it's uses is as a laxative.

    ok, on the more serious side, bout the dr. pepper. I have never heard that it helps with constipation, in fact, i have heard that it doesnt even contain prunes.. hell i dont know.

    Coffee always does it for me........something about the hot caffine .....it's a natural laxative.....

    Rar's right about coffee. Pair that with a good multigrain piece of toast, and you're good to go.
