Sen. Flake was in Boston today and during his speaking engagement suggested the FBI probe should be full and extensive – So hopefully they’ll get to the bottom of this.

 

If it's true then yes I think they'd be able to cook him good.

I'll wait to see if that proves to be the case. That same report said that the FBI simply wasn't letting them submit that. A lot of that would be very easy to verify. I'd give it a few hours before I'd give the story much credibility. The claims of emails being sent etc is very very easy to verify.

Phone records of text can be retrieved from carriers. Very routine processes in place for all of it

I'm still half asleep so will have to look into it more later, but if i'm not mistaken the article said he was texting them before she came publically forward. He anticipated it.

 

I don't think you would even take a moment to ask yourself if you might be biased, and that's at least part of the reason why, in every single one of these threads, you are 100% predictable with what you're going to say.

I don't know why you are unwilling to accept that an 'attempt to delay until the midterm elections' is more effective when it's 100% true. There are plenty of stories where teenagers/younger adults take a 'law of the playground' approach to this sort of thing, especially when it involves popular/attractive kids preying on less popular/less attractive ones. Well let him take a lie detector test. Maybe he could pass it too. In any trial or hearing, if a witness seems convincing it would always be possible to say maybe they're an extremely clever psyhopath who can beat lie detector tests and project a trustworthy demeanor. Ulitimately, the trier of fact has the task of assessing demeanor and judging credibility. Blasey Ford also called for an FBI investigation, unlike Judge Kavanaugh. I think that increases her credibility. Kavanaugh's demeanor was that of an angry combative partisan who likes beer and repeatedly said under oath that witnesses refuted Ford's testimony when they didn't.

He apparently asked for a photo to be sent to him or whoever, showing him in the same pic with Ramirez, as if to show they were friends. But sources tell that she was staying as far away from him at this wedding they were at, as she could. She’s nowhere near him in the pic.

The more I’m hearing about this guy, he sounds like a creepy dude when it came to women.

You don’t think it’s odd that a guy who is up for the SC judge nomination is scurrying to text his former classmates from college asking them to refute another classmate’s allegations?

That’s tampering with witnesses and an investigation.

I liked Kavanaugh when this all started but it just seems like he is trying hard at this point to hide something. I don’t know what, but something. I think he liked everyone in his life and in the public thinking he was this saint. I think people can change, but texting your former classmates to cover for you, isn’t a good sign.

I think it’s funny that he keeps touting how he went to an all boys Catholic school and Yale as somehow that makes you immune to doing bad things. If anything, an all boys Catholic school shows that he probably was taught backwards things when it came to sex and women and going to Yale screams privilege.

Yea, I’d stop bringing those things up if I were him.

Are you saying that I am biased only for republicans 100% of the time? If so, you are wrong.

I don't doubt that sexual assault has happened at parties before, and still happens today. I just find the evidence very wishy washy, and lacking of evidence.

 

I think you are probably more biased AGAINST the left/Democrats than biased in favor of the Republicans.
All I'm saying is you need to stop pretending that your reasons for being so skeptical are not due to that.

If a conservative's daughter is sexually assaulted by a transgendered person in a restroom (their reason for restroom laws) will they discredit her and support the accused transgendered person (their reaction to Kavanaugh)?

No mental gymnastics required. If this is in fact true information, it would prove he had had some indiscretions with women that he knew were problematic and he LIED about it, when asked under oath.

It won't be hard at all to prove its true. Phone text that are supposedly "lost" can be retrieved from the carriers. Emails that were supposedly sent to the FBI can easily be verified. The story states a specific FBI contact name that was contacted. This is all a VERY credible path to flesh out.

I also know there is a lot of disinformation being pumped out everywhere. I read a report that stated that Ramirez and he had had some contact and she revealed she was going to come forward about it. That is how he knew to reach out to his friends to head of that threat. If that's true that will be called a blackmail attempt.

This was taking place in July according to the report. So she didn't just decide after Ford came forward. She had sent threats to come forward is the way I can read the above.

Like I said before, I need to see this develop a bit more over the next 24 hours. So far it seems that only NBC has represented it. Everyone else refers back to NBC. I'm not attempting to discredit NBC. I just don't know if they are a victim of dis-infomation efforts. But I'm on board that this would take him down with no credible way to argue out of it. The claims made, are pretty easy to verify happened.

Maybe he can apologize, write a book about it, and run for senate as Corey Booker's opponent.

 

in a strange way, I feel sorry for Kavanaugh in the sense that he seems like a guy who grew up with very high expectations, perhaps unreasonable, placed on him. And when his parents’ backs were turned, he acted out in very bizarre ways. I think that he will be his own undoing because everyone has a breaking point. I think he thought he earned this seat and regardless if we all agree with Dr Ford or not, he is causing his own demise at this point.

It’s sad.

 

I may end up having ZERO faith in the ability of the FBI that's charged with finding out all of this type stuff through 6 previous investigations. I have held high clearances for years. They went all the way back to my first grade friends I had, to interview them. Asking teachers what type student I was etc. None of which they tell you. I found out about after going back to my high school to get old school records. They contacted people I forgot I even knew. They turned over rocks I didn't even know there was. And then I get re-checks every so often to see what may have changed.

I spose I could have gotten by something, but I would have to have a pretty isolated life with not many people in it to do it.
