Yeah, though, from experience, a cat.2 that was a former cat.5 can still cause a hell of alot of damage, but it's moving inland and it doesn't follow rivers or the bay like they do here.
Definately, but I'm just worried about the surge that will still come with it. Two of my cousins who live near mobile are on the phone with me right now... they lost their car.
yeah, mobile and biloxi looked awful new orleans didn't get obliterated though which in terms of economic damage is nice
Yeah, it didn't get obliterated but there's still buildings with people in them collapsing left and right... or so they're saying on TWC.
on national news they were saying it was okay, I guess I'll have to turn on AM radio I just trust it more......
Well, national news probably doesn't know what the hell is going on unless it's the weather channel, since Jim Cantore and all of them are there and they were even a little sketchy and didn't know what exactly was happening at the time... atop that, people on news networks who have never been through a hurricane react differently, too. I actually love going through them, sometimes. The last time we had one come up this way, we invited neighbors over and had a big party... and that can really get interesting.
Yeah, it does... ahah. I jumped off a pier on hatteras island with some other people during a storm. Some of the guys down there are great surfers and can handle it like nothing, but they couldn't take 40 feet. There's almost nothing scarier than being on a pier with waves crashing over it... it's just an eerie and powerful feeling.
wooo well... i had a nice time..huddled in the dark with my family.. the lights didn't go out till about 8 this morning.. and we were right in the middle of cooking cinnamon rolls but the heat in the oven cooked them the rest aha.. it headed east..but i wanted it to come more west..just cos.. a tree fell on my grandpa's house...well just on the porch..it cracked one of the horizontal beams (they're realllly thick, too) and blew away some of the tin on his roof... this hurricane sucked..cos they were all "oh yeah..this one's gunna be HUGEE..category 5 when it hits land" then the guy on the news is making this huge ass deal about "OH YEAH! AND WE WERE RIGHT THERE when the stoplight WENT OUT!!...oh yeah...and we stopped to tape it" but i do feel bad for new orleans...its 6 feet below sea level..and just yeah.. on the news a second ago, they said they have bodies floating around in new orleans.. =/ ...hey...fuck you..
ahaha... I told meggo that was going to happen. It happens here, too, because we had above ground graves in Franklin County, Virginia. During Floyd, it did it here. Baton Rouge is further west anyway, the worst part was on the east between New Orleans and Mobile. Ahaha... we were worried about you, just glad y'all are okay there.

Im gunna try smoking on the roof somenight that my mom isnt around for some reason. Or maybe when shes asleep. And just go to a different section of the roof than over her room so she cant hear me.... Without Kyle or Mark... maybe mark...but kyle would be loud and jump off and die or something.
