I DLed their album a while ago... I really couldn't stand the songs at all, except "Processed Beats".. that one's awesome.

Atleast Oasis don't have to worry about being challenged anytime soon for the title of Greatest Rock Band in England/World. :H

I found it difficult to appreciate all the songs at the begining..there is a element of amateurishnes to it ..but it grew on me.. If you picked out 10 bands currently sending shivers down late teens early twenties spines ..i think i would pick kasabian (maybe the kaiser chiefs tough choice)..it is a question of taste i suppose..

I watched a documentary of them in japan..and they were brilliant..full of awe and gagging to make people happy.. they do have there flaws, but i would rather have that and not souless crap like The darkness.

Bands like the libertines and keane or block party bore me rigid.

your right though Oasis are perfectly safe http://www.nme.com/features/112111.htm ;)

I got into Kasabian about a month ago... great album...

There's lots of good stuff around at the moment... Kaiser Chiefs and Futureheads... still listening to the Doves album... Interpol... Bloc Party... lots of good music...

heard the new Oasis track on the radio a few days ago... average bollocks...

    Fly...

Well i knew them since last June with The impressive Single "Club foot" with their revolutionary type videoclip and i buy their album the day it came out , the 9 september...It was sensational ...

I've heard it so much in 2 month that i made a break of Kasabian since last month ...and it sound always so powerful...

Somebody told that the band had no connection with 60's and 70's .
I'm not of the same advice...ok their clearly influenced buy the Madchester bands themselves influenced by old lp's (Happy mondays,Stone roses, early charlatans, primal scream) but Kasabian have in their sound too a strange electronic approach near of Kraftwerk and late 70's Bowie albums.

Recently leader Pizzorno told to Tracks (a broadcast of Arte TV) that he wanted to bring back 60's psychedelia , and you can hear sometimes a clear psychedelic influence from all era in their album!

For the people who like this album i reccomend them an album that is probably the best Primal Scream album called "XTRMNTR" from 2000 who had a very similar sound to this 1st Kasabian lp.

hahaha, I've heard all those 3 or 4 times...

the article written on the front page of www.oa515.com makes me cream my pants...

Noel is writing songs about queuing too long for a pint of milk and Liam is a whirlwind of inspiration and wondrous bullshit. Fans have been waiting for this moment for ten years...

Why? Because it's been ten years since Oasis made an album that truly changed the musical landscape. It's been ten years since they wrote an album of such spirit that you felt compelled to adopt a swagger as you walked through the streets of your council estate.

For the first time in their history, they are functioning as a band. No longer does Noel feel the weight of the world on his shoulders, and Liam's writing tunes with the enthusiasm of a toddler who's just mastered walking. Gem is the rock on which the new Oasis is built while Andy Bell is an enigmatic influence, who makes Liam watch films starring David Essex. They call him Wing Commander Bell.

haha... i wont hijack this thread :D

but omg dude... im getting butterflies in my stomach reading all that again :D :(
