His hometown threw him a bash which featured a Chinese-funded statue and souvenirs for sale, including Karl Marx champagne, a Karl Marx piggy bank and a Karl Marx rubber duck! The funny thing is he never actually lived in a communist country Germany, france, belgium, then the UK for the last 35 years of his life

From what I have read about Karl Marx and hi writings (which I also read) I am inclined to think that he'd find it more insulting to be associated with today's version of communism, as I remember him and Nietsche leaning strongly toward communalism. There is a community that is doing well with a pure form of communism in Eskdale Utah. I think they are part of what is called "the United Order" or something like that. Not exactly LDS but not exactly anything else, really.
All these capitalist examples posted show the inevitable creeping of capitalism into a long term society. True Communism is not possible unless man fundamentally changed how they treated each other. Deep down we still need to rank and separate. A healthy dose of socialism is plenty for modern economics and human mindsets. Marx has some nice ideas in theory. It's interesting to me that in a lot of Sci-Fi human society is equal in a Communist way. There is no money on Star Trek for example. They have no need for it. That equality is what takes man to the stars.
Seems to me anyone REALLY dedicated to Marx would be covered in boils and carbuncles. They should also strive to impregnate house servants they refuse to pay. And of course they should borrow from their families to the point they are bankrupt. THAT is the way of Marx.
You seem confused. When people are 'dedicated to Marx' what's ment is his theories on communism, not his personal life. But thanks for playing
True light speed is not possible as far we know now. Travel close to it is. So like an hour latter to the planet. The Star Trek backstory is uniting as one human species allowed the science and morals that took man to space. You are focusing on one small sci-fi discrepancy with the light speed.
An example is an example, and Marx is a prime example. You do realize that snarking out with "But thanks for playing" is clearly meant to shut me down, of course. If you don't want to discuss this, don't fucking answer.
I'm discussing this. I was just pointing out that your post was rather nonsensical, unless it was a joke. Thanks for playing!
of what? If you shut down because of such a reaction it is all you, baby. I ment it as nice try. I can't (or crave to) shut you up anyway. But if you make a nonsensical statement you will hear it. If there is a more significant point in that post besides making the average Marxist communist or appreciator of his books look a certain way, maybe try again
I don't give Marx's writings anymore respect than those of Larry Flynt. He was his century's analog to the basement dweller, with a manifesto. Those guys usually end up on CNN (and then usually called Alt-Right, or Trump Supporters). If you enjoy his prose, more power to you. Nonsensical and all (just can't lay off the personal shit can you).
I wasn't getting personal. Don't be pathetic because someone bothered to point out your nonsense. Marx was a prime example of what? Care to specify your point? You understand other people took communism where it got. He just wrote some stuff. It happened to appeal to a lot of people at the time. Shit happens. It's not about wether you or I see something in his writings or not: its about you stating his personal life should matter a lot to people who saw something in his writings. Why? I would speculate, but don't see the point when you remain vague.
