But don't you see the party turning left all of a sudden? That's not going bad for people of color.

I think that a more liberal agenda serves people of color's economic interests and general well being.

There's a severe unemployment issue for many people of color Pressed Rat. I don't think I have to quote the textbooks to show you that. There are people who get welfare to survive, so where are you coming from with that? You want to take away some poor persons means of survival for what? Because it looks good on paper? What would you prefer maybe some kind of internment camps? :grinning: I'm being sarcastic and I shouldn't, but yes "welfare" or social programming in general is good for all poor people; not just African-Americans.

No, it's the liberals who want to keep blacks in "internment camps" (i.e. projects and ghettos). Instead of bettering people's prospects and creating an environment where people can be more easily independent, it would seem that the Democrats would rather keep people poor and dependent on government handouts where they are barely subsisting. That is no quality of life for anyone. Funny how you immediately focus on blacks being unemployed versus the root cause of their unemployment (i.e. socialism aka liberalism).

Socialism only perpetuates poverty. It does not eliminate it, or even alleviate it.

The notion that welfare, aka poverty, is a good thing, is exactly why we have so much poverty in this country. Because liberals perpetuate the idea that it is a good thing without ever offering real solutions other than more government and more tyranny.

I don't agree at all. And I don't call that socialism. Thanks for your reply.

See those problems, are tweaks, no need to throw out a whole amendment when a lot of what hurts minorities criminally are at a local police department or even officer at an enforcement level....not a legislative one.

Decriminalizing marijuana helps as well or at least creating a legal structure for jobs. I personally do not use, but I want to recognize the freedom of others to do so and also ensure clean production of that industry, as it is now microscopic molds and other pathogens are sometimes attached to the products of the illegal weed product on the underground and you inhale that when you smoke it.

Socialism is not equal to liberalism. I also disagree with your logic here, it might have some inspiration in terms of a social safety net.

But I also fail to see enough people in the black population who are consistently happy with that level of income and don’t try to make more through other means so they can get educated and do something else.

Instead I see videos justifying what the black community has claimed for decades that they get unfairly stopped because they “fit the description” of a recent perpetrator. I see them being shot unarmed (with some showing attitude toward law enforcement but many others not as well including minors).

I see random citizens giving them a side eye running heuristical conclusion in their brain that they some criminals.

I also see an education system that tries to allocate as many student aid resources SO blacks can better themselves and that’s a liberalism idea (student financial aid), and it’s calculated by income.

Where I do see many young people going wrong (of all races) is that they’re taking inspiration from people like Kanye and Trump, and are concerned about economic showboatmanship about how they collect all the pussy and deal with drama of women who lie and deceive and buy Yeezees, and that makes them better than others. It’s circular logic, and their young fans try to emulate that and most of em dont make it and end up on welfare because they didn’t STUDY in school and then APPLY that knowledge to a career field.

What many young people are doing is learning to earn a grade but lack initiative in how to keep what they learn in school and understand how it relates to real life.

Algebra: It applies to financial calculations and construction building jobs.

If there is a problem with welfare then what is lacking is a transition process that helps to inspire others to get off it in a guided way, and to moderate low income people to stay away from private predatory loanshark corporations also known as check-to-cash redemption businesses.

So somone who didn’t have the discipline and focus to stay in college, is telling the rest of society (some who did stick it out until getting BA’s, MA, and PH.D’s) and overgeneralizing what works and doesn’t work for society, because his personal experience doesn’t jive with his success story?

There’s a reason I don’t ask my mechanic about the latest finds on quantum mechanic research bro....same principle applies here, you asking a musical artists and shoe designer to understand global affairs and why airline industry is not using futuristic planes yet.

Great he made it and isn’t poor, but he fails to recognize not everyone can walk the same path he did, it’s statisticslly impossible; and music is like one of those careers that is emotionally fueled, doesn’t require a formal education. Also it’s highly saturated so celebrity culture is fierce and is cutthroat behind the scene.

They teach trade skills in prisons 50% of inmates refuse to take part in those programs to turn them around.. Rather play gang games and be locked in 24 hours a day like the animals they choose to be!

It is true some of them in embrace the dark culture of prison; but some of them are mentally ill too.

But the cause of that doesn’t equate toward liberalism origins and views because of the projects.

Poverty and crime culture is a mindset that gets adopted by young people in an attempt to fill Maslow’s Heirarchy of needs when local gangs sense a chink in the breakdown of a family.

He said a bunch of crazy, nonsensical shit, but at least he is who he is, which is more than can be said for most of the shills in the entertainment industry these days.
