Really? If you take 3 guitar lessons you can play every Nirvana song better than they did. I didn't realise lyrics like :

Don't even get me started on the medias role in raising that talentless hack to higher and higher plateaus of unearned greatness. All he really did was castrated punk. The one line uttered by the press and repeated ad nauseum about Cobain that pisses me off the most is "Kurt Cobain was a close as this generation is going to get to a John Lennon." I can just picture John Lennon walking into a Beatles rehearsal in 1962 going "Hey Paul, I got a new tune it's called 'Rape Me'. It's got a catchy lyric about licking open sores. We should really do this it's got hit written all over it." Fucking twat.

In the wise words of the Stranglers "Everybody Loves You When you're Dead." The fact of the matter is that every hour of every day another junkie ends his own life. This one we are still talking about 15 years later. Chances are that if Cobain didn't have those cute puppydog blue eyes, that hair that wouldn't stay in the right place (kind of sounds like Justin Beiber) you wouldn't ever have heard of him. He got noticed because he had a look that you could sell to 14 year old white girls in the midwest that keep the music business afloat. The fact of the matter is that if Cobain lived out his life and died a natural death we would be on this forum going "You rememeber Nirvana?" "Yeah what ever happened to them."

I can't disagree with you. Though John Lennon was just as much of a product as Kurt was. Perhaps just made from different hands. The media and the fans create these people, not those people themselves.
