I know me and I know I would never load it... but it seems to me that it would be more intimidating to pull a gun than it would be to pull a lamp or shoe or whatever i could find to defend myself.

you should not ever own a gun.

 

why not just get a bat then? it's cheaper, more effective than an empty gun if you actually have to fight, and you're less likely to get shot by the intruder's gun the instant you pull it out.

Or use a firearm, blow off a limb or just take headshots. When it comes to my families protection and as well as mine I'd kill to get out of a sticky situation.

 

maybe ya'll are right, perhaps a gun is not the answer for me. I just want to feel safe in my home. a bat is actually a good idea, espesically if could learn to do this...
