It took me all day to make - cutting and folding the paper, then I started making the cover out of cordoroy fabric (this took the most time, i was faffing about) which looks shit in the end, then used the leather, which is really nice to work with Cutting and sorting the paper was quite satisfying xD I was making it up as I went along really, having seen how other books had been bound on the outside I went with that, probably completely different how I did it but meh ^^

I used an Awl to make the holes For the leather, to make the holes in the paper I used a ..er. pype's will know the name of it.. a little thing like a screwdrive but on the end instead of a + or - it's got a screw thread, like a mini drill), so much easier. The blanket stitch on the front was done by making the holes with the awl, then just sewing through them. My housemate did have a sickle needle but it wouldn't have gotten the cord through it. So if you are going to sew leather, have either or both, the awl is bloody useful

thanks for the tips dv, i've always relied on the needle to make a hole in the leather. it makes way more sense to pre-punch them.
