for all the compliments i gotta sayt to me the felting makes em look rediculoudly fake overworked maybe its the wool in them but the techture looks all wrong
llok kinda like those synthetic ones that they mely together
they llook mature for 7 moinths because theyre tight and rounded but the felting just gives them a really fake look..i'm sottu i dont mean to be insulting ..just giving honnest critisism..if i were u id get rid of the felting nedle..all that extra work yoir doin is making em look funny
u sure u didnt use wax too?
and wouldnt having wool in yoiur dreads cause em to get a funky smell when theyre wet?

Let them do what they do and do what you do. It's their hair. It doesn't matter how they do it, how it look like. It's all about how they feel, as long as they're happy with it and they didn't use wax all up in them bitches, it's all good.

I think you're being a bit hypocritical, soaringeagle. We all have different reasons for being dreadies, but more than anything it makes us unique. Some people go with the traditional dreads, others like to play them up, like dying them or felting. It's just another way to express yourself. By saying:

You sound closed-minded and judgemental. Which is something I know you're not.

I enjoy seeing all the interesting things people do with their dreads! I don't believe I'd ever dye mine, maybe steer clear of the felting also... But I still think it's awesome to be so creative!

Great tutorial, you put a lot of work into that!

this thread is ancient but id like to step in and say, dont use felting needles except on the tips and maybe for attaching bits of wool.
it breaks the shit out of your hair and can weaken your dreads to the point that they break off.
