    It's a duty, not a punishment.
    I can tell you this, when the jury go to retirement, they are taken to a room, no phones, no hot food, to leave you need an escort, plus a second to watch the others.

    I am going to send them a big letter when I get called up. It will be all about how much I have always wanted to be on a jury and right at the end I'm going to say 'No'. ;)
