Jury Service

Well I got picked.
Third whole day tomorrow.
Food is good.

 

Another full day today, and another tomorrow.

 

I got called for jury duty once, but luckily I lived out of the state I was summoned and didn't have to go.

 

Fourth day over.
Decision-making tomorrow, no phones or bags!

 

Do you have to say "Good Morning Judge" each day Candy?

 

Yep. Hopefully this case finished tomorrow.
Then I may get called for another!

 

Speaking of Jury Duty, it was 24 Years ago today O J Simpson was acquitted by a jury of his peers in the Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.

The trial took place at the Los Angeles County Superior Court Building in what had become known as the Trial of the Century.


After the verdict was read we celebrated and partied well into the night

I was on one jury, when I was about 22. The case revolved around some drunk woman giving shit to the police. Or maybe it was the police that were drunk and giving shit to some woman...or something. I can't remember. But the food was good, I got a turkey and avocado sub from Cobby's, I do remember that part. Oh, and they gave me a check for $10.

 

jury duty lunch here is either mcdonalds, hardees, or pack a lunch. there's a couple sit down restaurants nearby, but you don't really have time for all that.

 

All finished now.
A whole day of debating today.
But on all counts, unanimous decisions.
Of course, I was spokesperson.

 

So are you saying that the accused will be:

".... taken to a place of execution and hanged until you are dead" ???

 

Nah - Not guilty on all four counts.

 

Oops, you've now made an enemy of the Crown Prosecution Service and the local plod !!!

Mmm, we were told that we were one of the noisiest jury's ever. lol
