It can be incredibly boring and incredibly interesting. It can also be very time consuming - it all depends on the case. You may or may not be selected but that is entirely up to the attorneys. Just follow the instructions you're given, answer questions truthfully and you'll be fine. In the US you do get paid but what you get paid may not even cover the parking fee!

They gave me a $20 "thank you" stipend (check?). The New Britain court house was walking distance to my old place. No parking worries. :)

Mmm, I know exactly what you are saying.

Oh, respect to you. All my friends and family think that I will end up being the foreman. I am a natural-born leader. I will see.

I tell them I will not find anyone guilty of any crime if the only evidence is the police report. I feel police lie and I know from personal experience they do so in reports.

I also will not find anyone guilty of drug possession or sales. This is not a criminal matter it is a health one.

They always excuse me. Chances are most of the case is the police's claims of events and the hope you assume they are moral.

I respect your decision on this also.
I do have this thread on another forum, I was told to look closely at photographic evidence.

bring a book. you might be there all day and never get called to a court room as a potential juror. that's what happens to me... (and i have to find, dig out, and wear my shoes for no reason)

I live in the US where everyone votes for whichever candidate advertises the most, so I just refuse to register to vote and tell them I'm insane, and they never bother me again. Which is good, because the courts are now compelling people to testify against themselves, but I'm nobody, and prefer it that way. Realty TV just never did anything for me.

Courts are not actually like what they show on TV. Its money, money, money and Judge Judy gonna getcha! But, most judges are less demonstrative and less worried about anyone else's fucking opinions.
