Some ambitious, yet disturbed craftsman, sought out to build a home-made dream car, a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640. By using dirt cheap materials like plywood, scrap lumber, a Pontiac Sunfire, and lots and lots of plaster. Just look at how much plaster they put on this beast! More about it here: http://jalopnik.com/5291052/pontiac-sunfire-based-fake-lamborghini-ends-up-in-junkyard Oh man.... words cannot describe this atrocity
hey,,,could be a nice find??? Speaking of finding junk- - does anyone have one of those metal detectors??- I live on the beach (more or less)- -and I see ,once in awhile someone finds some lost jewelry or some shit- - -I was thinking of buying one of those things....in my old age,,retired and all..it might be a decent hobby Anyone ever give one of those things a try?? - I know your not gonna afind black beards treasure... but is it worth the time...(and $$)
Sure now. But put another coat of yellow paint on it and sorround it with babes in bikinis and it'll be good as new.
i've never tried one, but i do see them occasionally wandering the beach here. never seen them find anything other than buried garbage. i'd say there's much better beach toys to spend your money on. the obvious ones of course like boats, surfboards, kite boards, sail boards, etc. then there's the more unusual things i've seen, like the motorized surfboard i came across last summer, or this thing that suddenly appeared at the beach out of nowhere a couple weeks ago:
I have one jack. I was all happy when i got it but only used it a couple times. I just felt stupid doing the whole walking the beach thing with it. Although now that i own my house and yard i am going to bust it out and see whats burried in my yard. i worked with a guy who goes out with them. He finds watches all the time. Im guessing not as much now though being people dont wear watches as much. I lost a gold chain and penguins pennent. That was a nice find for someone. I lost it before i got the detector though.
Jack I have seen some people with those metal detectors at one of the parks that I go to to walk Grace. They dig holes in the ground and then fail to fill them back in when they are done. That is a bit annoying. I usually only see them in the early mornings. I did lose a pendant at that park several years ago and often wonder if anyone ever found it.
there's a reason (some) people use metal detectors where they don't think anyone is watching. its called the antiquities act. and i'm actually in favor of most of the reasons for it. the place where things are found, of has more to tell then the things themselves. of course, you do know what the number one most often found item is. well of course you do. its those pull tabs off of cans of beer and soda. carnies of course use metal detectors after folding the rides back up and before moving on. things do fall out of people's pockets. surprise surprise. not sure what to say about the bondo bullet there.
The nice thing bout my dowsing rods is they don't react to pull tabs unless I tune them to. In the '60s the most common find by MDs on the beaches of Padre Island were old beer cans with rattler heads in them.
