    Very original band, the depth of which I cannot compare. Really like their early punk songs as well as the later material. "Closer" is my favorite record especially songs like "Decades" and "Means to an End". Their music is authentic, Ian and the band was really communicating some serious stuff. Peter Hook's bass lines really have hooks too.

    I don't think they qualify as an 80's band, they were around for only half of the year 1980 before Ian's death. They were really more of a late 70's band.
     
  2. I dont think we can stop the 70s/80s confusion.

    I've heard of that many 80s parties with people dressing up as the ramones or the sex pistols.
