......... How awful and so sad was that? I remember that news coming through as if it were yesterday and was so shocked. So let's hear it for John Lennon. Wouldn’t it be lovely if my favourite song of his could ever come true. Of course I fear it never will, but the thought was wonderful. ...... IMAGINE ..... "Imagine" (from "Imagine: John Lennon" soundtrack) Imagine there's no heaven It's easy if you try No hell below us Above us only sky Imagine all the people Living for today... Aha-ah... Imagine there's no countries It isn't hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion, too Imagine all the people Living life in peace... You... You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will be as one Imagine no possessions I wonder if you can No need for greed or hunger A brotherhood of man Imagine all the people Sharing all the world... You... You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will live as one
..... Thank you for those Newspaper News items Gal. Very historic those are, and I wish I had a copy of those newspapers as I reckon they would be worth a lot of money now. In the meantime. I feel another John Lennon song coming on! ......
This is what many of us remember, the announcement of John Lennon's death by Howard Cosell on MNF Even as a little kid watching our beloved New England Patriots, I remember my parents reaction of shock and horror over the death of John Lennon.

YES Angel. RIP John Lennon. I reckon I was very privileged because I saw The Beatles performing 3 times in the Liverpool Cavern Club. They had only just released their first single Love Me Do, and their performance was absolutely magnificent. I shall never forget that for as long as I live! ......
So cool. Wish there was a time machine. I saw them live once, in 1966 at Shea Stadium. Your way was better.
I think in their own way they where all class acts MeAgain. And for my money the greatest band that ever lived. It is quite sad really that the split up when they did, but one way and another even that turned out good. This as they all went on to produce lots of good stuff in music, albeit separately. PS. How much rental do you want for your space!
You know, it costs about $250 to see Paul in concert. Back in 1966, it was less than $15 to see ALL FOUR Beatles in concert. I think it was $13.95.
When I went to see them in The Liverpool Cavern Cub, along with another group that was on the same night, it cost £2 to get in if my memory serves me correctly. Beat that !
Couldn't beat that with a stick. I'd pay McCartney concert prices and more to have had that privilege. Plus couldn't hear them well with all the bloody screaming!
At least in The Cavern Club there wasn't any screaming Angel, as it wasn't that kind of place really. People just went to watch the groups, and if there was room, have a dance. And of course the period I am talking about they had only just released Love Me Do, and it was just starting to bubble up in the Top 20 charts. I am off to bed now Angel at 2.31am here in Wales, but I hope to converse more with you later in the day. I find you very interesting. And also very nice.
