They are using him as a guinea pig, trying a new drug to treat him. In his interview yesterday, he said he's had a good life, but he's looking for a new adventure. That's the best line I've ever heard about dying. He said he's ready for whatever comes. America should be so lucky to have another POTUS as kind, giving and caring as Jimmy. I already miss him.
Yeah, he's done a great service for this country and the community with his time here. Wishing the best for him.
Often we knock religion and religious people around here but I must say that as a deeply religious man Jimmy Carter exemplifies all that is right with those who properly put into practice all of the good points that religion has to offer. Whatever you think of his role as President he is the very epitome of integrity and good will.
What a man. What a couple. Mrs. Rosalyn will be lost without him, as he would be without her. 1946 Wedding Day Building with Habitat For Humanity.
what a beautiful couple! I have never seen photos of a young Mr. And Mrs. Carter before. Jimmy Carter isn't my favorite president as far as what he actually accomplished during office, but he is by far my favorite president as far as leading this nation with integrity and a strong moral compass intact. I was sad to hear the news but he has lived an incredible life and he is an amazing man.
The guy is 90 years old. People more than half his age get cancer everyday, and because they're not lionized by the media, nobody hears about their plight. The guy was a puppet like every other president before and after. Zbigniew Brzezinski was the one who was really running that administration. So why don't you throw praise on his evil ass, too? Probably because most people don't even know who he is. I don't see why people worship this guy, because they're worshiping an image that was given to them by the media. None of you ever knew the guy personally. You all just parrot a bunch of crap you've heard on television about how great he is. So silly.

YouTube. I would actually respect pressed rat's opinion except ugh...does he have to be so condescending? Pretty much every post he throws in that part about everyone just parroting what they hear from tv as if he is the last free thinker on earth.
I would be willing to bet any amount of money Jimmy Carter never posted anywhere whining about how his tum-tum hurt and he needed everybody's attention and well-wishes because he might be "going under the knife in the next 24-48 hrs"...good grief...rolleyes To have such a condescending, self-righteous ass such as YOU KNOW WHO say negative things about such a fine, honorable man like Jimmy Carter does not surprise me.
Sometimes you seem such a little kid. It is not about worshipping a guy, he gets this attention because he was a public figure and everybody knows him. Even a turd could recognize that's why he is in the picture when he gets brain cancer and an average Joe that nobody has any affiliation, association or memory of doesn't. Or if you look in the right media source, even average Joe with cancer gets some attention. You just have a one track mind with these kind of things, which is ok. But when you don't time it well in certain threads you get a reaction like Aerianne's. Of course you don't care about being liked by one person or the other, but if you care about your content being taken seriously and not just put away like the talk of some angry kid who doesn't know how to deal with his principles it maybe is worthwile to take notice of comments like these You are right. But that's not the point.
I didn't even say anything negative about him other than that he was a puppet like every other president, which is true.
That's a good quote! It sort of reminds me of Rabelais whose last words (according to some sources) were: I go to seek a Great Perhaps. When my time comes, I can only hope I'll be able to deal with it with that much peace and dignity. Anyways, sorry for going off-topic.
We already knew your opinion about american presidents Yeps, you could have been much more rude and negative. Congrats! You're learning
Jimmy Carter was a great president. He was and will always be my favorite president. God Bless Jimmy forever.
I don't think there has ever been another former president that has ever done so much for so many after he left office. And he was the last president to not add a trillion dollars to the national debt. That says a hell of a lot.
