Jimi has been a fine vibe for a good trip a few times, it's too bad he died the way he did and fell to some of the darker secrets of man. I used to have a friend that would say " If Jimi Hendrix is so great, dig him up and see how he plays" I coulda slapped him.

I've had some wild trips on his music. Haha, Jimi was one of the firsts amongst more mainstream guys like clapton and SRV who got me seriously into music and I dove deeper into the realms of blues, folk, and roots music.

I love ELECTRIC LADYLAND (1968) and I just got an 8 track tape "THE GENIUS OF JIMI HENDRIX" -- 9 songs from 1966

MOSTLY BLUES ROCK..... FUCKING INSANE!!!!!!! (Most are him signing but a couple is someone else. HE IS PLAYING IN THE BAND)

I wanna find more 60s blues rock!!

Sailed on a tri with some other hippy types over to Oahu with a stop on Molokai to see Hendrix at the shell in Waikiki. Dosed up, walked through Waikiki and began to enter the venue. WE could hear the music from a block away and were stoked on hearing HENDRIX! OOps--music stopped and we were confronted with hundreds of concert goers coming toward us looking grumpy. Blew out his amps and the show was OVER! Almost got to see him.

The interviewer never asked him and he wasn’t forthcoming – He was fascinated with the whole subject of UFO’s and close encounters of the third kind

I like the wah on watchtower. He probably made that sound popular. I have heard newer music use it in similar or slightly more complicated ways. One example is Metallica's "Enter Sandman" solo. There are other examples too, like some of Temple of the Dog's (old I know) stuff.
