Merry Christmas everyone! Although Christmas has come and past. I still hope that you all had a great holiday season.

I want to share with you all a video that was posted by my favorite Muslim reformist, Imam Mohamad Tawhidi

See video in this link here --------->Rita@MissOginy

Tawhidi got a 30 day Facebook ban for "hate speech" because of this video. Imam Tawhidi is a practicing Muslim, and a freedom fighter against radical Islam. But Facebook feels they have the moral high ground protecting the feelings of extremists.

In his tweet, Tawhidi wrote, “To whom it may concern, Facebook has suspended me for 30 days for posting a video ridiculing Jihadists. Yes, that’s right. Facebook is protecting Jihadists from hate speech.”

He then tweeted a tongue-in-cheek statement, “I’m a Muslim Imam and Facebook is being racist towards Muslims by banning me. They’re targeting me personally and being Islamophobic. This is against basic human rights and all values of diversity and inclusion. They’ve offended me and Islam. (I love doing this to them.)”

When asked, Facebook had no response.

I simply think that we in the west fear anything that will stir up further hatred will end up causing further killings.
Most educated people realize that the problems go back hundreds of years and a solution is far from simple. The fact that the Muslim church has no structure of an overall leader and bishops make negotiations with uniting the Muslim church against terrorism completely impossible.
However the disunity of 2 christian churches in the UK that were hijacked by extremists in an attempt to justify so many killings during the IRA problems only serves to add to our despair.
I wish that I knew the answers.

    Ignoring Facebook will certainly help.

Facebook will just act on a report without even looking into it.. Then people are like why, because they usually never give you a reason. Just blocked from posting ..

I heard Facebook has actual people who review any complaints submitted. So these people see a lot of mean and evil things. It's a taxing job. But also kind of makes sense since the site is so large it could be an algorithm screening content.

If there is an algorithm then MANY things posted on the subject of Islam will be from right wing white people and hostile. So I see how an actual Muslims is thrown into that.

Kind of like how some anti-porn software blocks biology sites. The computer sees nudity or the computer sees something similar to a Trumper saying "come and take my gun Mohamed".

    My Facebook account was suspended.
I had committed the terrible crime of not logging on for over a year and therefore not making them any money.

Imagine growing up, every 2nd guy was named Jesus. Get mighty confusing.

Always wondered that about the Islam- Mohammed thing.

Roll call at school, mohammed, mohammed, mohammed, Joe, Mohammed, Mohammed, Bueller, ....Bueller....Bueller ;)

  11. I can't speak for all of them, but many I knew in the middle east had 4 names or more. Often it was something like Mohammed Ahmed Milad Mohammed or the like. So their middle names were generally how they were addressed.

I've often wondered how people with names like that sign a check.

My partner/boss signs and is know by Mo Ki.

He is Mohammed, something, something Khalid. He has gone by Mo Ki for like 20 years now. He gave up expecting westerners to learn his actual name.

The banks don't care as long as he signs what's on file. He doesn't give much of a crap what anyone else says about it......lol

It would make sense that such algorithms would exist to knock down such things before they surface and get seen by a large number of people. But in most cases wouldn't the user be allowed to contact the Integrity team of Facebook and protest the removal of their post? To which the Integrity team could review it and see whether or not it was an algorithmic error, and allow the post to exist?

To me, the suspension of Imam Tawhiti is Facebook's bigotry of low expectations regarding muslims. They actually think that terrorist jokes are offensive to all muslims. How pathetic.

Well they say that Mohammad is the most common boy's name in the world. And everyone knows at least one person with that name.

Is this the guy we are talking about –

Mohammad Tawhidi of Iraqi origin was born in Iran and raised in Western Australia. He currently resides in South Australia. He has made outlandish claims of his genealogy, his association with Islamic scholars and studies at various seminaries.

During the last few years he has styled himself as a Muslim religious scholar and leader calling himself Imam for Peace while increasingly attacking Muslims and Islam fomenting religious and sectarian divisions in Australia.

He has built a significant following from Islamophobes, white supremacists, Zionists as well as developed a high media profile due to his absurd but headline catching stances on issues affecting Islam and Muslims, both in Australia and overseas.

Tawhidi’s radical claims include that Muslims are secretly working to establish an Australian caliphate; Australian mosques are run by radical Imams producing terrorists; government should listen to Pauline Hanson and ban Muslim immigration; Muslim schools and mosques should be closed; Islamic religious books should be banned and that halal Easter eggs are an “insult” to Christianity.

The one Media watch said of –“ it’s clear that some of his views are divisive, offensive, abusive and just plain crazy.”
