political reality of the time he took office, is that mccarthyism was enjoying majority popular support. he was unimaginably couragious to attempt to oppose it as much as he did. how much that was or was not in fact, is not something we are likely ever to be able to completely determine. he HAD TO appear to go along with a lot of things, that are still haunting us today. could he have done more to oppose them? could he have done so more visably? i mean, he got himself shot for what he did do. perhaps if he had known he was going to get shot anyway, he might have been less concerned with having a political career. again these are the kinds of things we are never able to completely know.
Check out JF's last speech. Very telling. Concerns about a zionist fed. A run away war. Civil wrongs. And of course a rogue veep. Jack Rubinstein came around just in time. Odd.
