The same book that says a 600 year old man built a big ass ark and got every living species on the planet to coexist on it for 40 days and 40 nights while God gave the world a big ass bath.

Do you have any idea how many species of animals were on the earth at that time? Tens of thousands. The ark would have been much too small. A modern aircraft carrier would have been too small to house them all. And there were many species of animals that did not live in that part of the world, so Noah could not have collected a mating pair. During the flood, where were the marsupials of Australia? Where were the arctic animals?

You made some good points. Let's not forget the fact that most of the animal kingdom are carnivores. Carnivores who aint tryin to hear no fuckin 600 somethin year old man talkin about "hey God wanted me to build this boat for y'all to come kick it with me and all the other animals on." First of all how in the fuck did he live to be 600? Actually he lived to be at least 700 because he had 100 years to do it. Wow. Just fuckin wow. Food would have been a huge problem. Can you imagine how much food a pair of elephants and a pair of rhinos would eat in 40 days? You would have needed two more arks just for food storage.

Wild animals are not going to behave calmly in close proximity to each other, in a confined space. That's not even considering the ones that are natural enemies.

The more I think about all this, the more it makes me wonder how I could have ever thought it might be true, even as a kid.

The ark it self was not small, by conservative estimates, it would have a total of more than 91,000 square feet of floor space and an overall capacity of 1.2 million cubic feet. Also the Bible does not say every "species" it says "kinds" which different.

 

It's a worldwide flood. Everything that isn't on the ark drowns and becomes extinct, unless it is a fish. This whole story just isn't feasible.

 

Because you you couldn't do it, you think Noah couldn't do it? Like I said earlier, that was found to be so funny, God is able to make the wisdom of the world look foolish. How do you or anyone know what is feasible to God?
