Is it really that hard to get them these days.

I remember when I was younger we’d just be able to find them around town.

Tango says these are 100% not magic shrooms.
TT says look for "wavy caps"...

    Still no luck this year...

Rizza I read earlier in this thread that people wait for the temperatures to drop below 10C. Its almost a good sign that nobody has found any yet. I suspect the season might be shifting. The weather for the last week showed that we only dropped below 10 for the first time in late October. Just gonna wait for a bit of rain and then I'm gonna be straight on my bike up to devils.

Hey all. I have been picking all sorts of edible and psychedelic Mushrooms and Brackets for many years (since 1996) but it wasn't until I came to Jersey that I became aware of these 'Hypes'. So, I did research and took notice of discussions such as this one. I went for a walk early yesterday and found a few types of different fruiting bodies. I did come across three Psilocybe cyanescens or Wavy Caps as they are known, which I believe are the fabled Jersey 'Hype' from what I have read in here. I performed a spore print last night and awoke to a purple result which confirms my last test. I now feel confident to add this mushroom to my repertoire. I see some folk saying that Liberty Caps are seldom found here. Well, as seems to be the norm here, the North Coast has done me well in previous years and yesterday I checked out the fields up near Fungi Delecti (pure jokes) which have been fairly good in the last few years, and they are indeed appearing, albeit in small numbers. Also I have a few places in St Saviour that I haven't yet checked this year yet. I feel that the picking window proper is going to open this week. I have a few locations myself and would be happy to team up and double our chances if any experienced shroom heads are about. I like to dry, weigh into doses and preserve my shrooms in honey, this is the preservation method I have settled on over 24 years of experimentation. Obviously a fresh shroom trip is the other way I go too.
Don't lose heart, get out there amongst nature and very nice to meet y'all .
