The people in the pic are:

Stephen Hawking, Marie Curie, Nikola Tesla, Albert Einstein, Sigmund Freud, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Thomas Paine, Christopher Hitchens, Carl Sagan, and Charles Darwin.

I watch it, but dislike the fact that like any other media product it has underlying messages and ability to influence. Jersey Shore I'd say encourages young men to treat women like crap - on a few episodes that's not the case but for example when the guys pick up chicks from the club they only wanna tap and gap (screw them and kick them out onto the street in the morning). And they pick up chicks and that chick becomes their 'booty call', they screw em twice or more and then that's it, being on the receiving end of that I know just how shitty that feeling can be, you feel like a piece of trash.

Then there's the term that they use for girls who are ugly which is 'grenade'. Imagine how shitty the bitch is gon' feel when you start tooting your 'grenade' horn?, if she knows the terminology then she's gon' go home all butthurt. It's just degrading AND the guys are spongeheads. Pauly's a cutie though

I actually haven't heard anyone talk about this show recently. Is it not as popular as it was a year or two ago? I never watched it so I am pretty much 'out of the loop'. I have seen enough news coverage of little clips of their childish behavior to EVER watch the show.

I mean, come on, don't people have ENOUGH drama and fighting in their real, every-day lives? Why would you want to watch a television show that en-captures even MORE of that behavior? It seems counter-intuitive. I know that I have enough petty fighting in my own world (not propagated by me but I still witness enough of it...) and when I watch television or get online, I want to do something intellectually stimulating or relaxing. Not watch people argue!

I always enjoyed seeing that painting. It cracks me up. Not only is the person so pale that they would get a sunburn in Alaska in January, but they also have the hairline of a hormonally-challenged 50-year-old man. And to top it off, the woman (if it is indeed human...) not only doesn't have any breasts, but she doesn't even have a CHEST or nipples, which would clearly be visible on a normal human given the depth of the neck-line of that beautiful garment she is wearing.

    Cracks me up every time!

    this show is pointless!!!
i actually have this debate with my roommates all the time who are on top of every new episode. just any reality show like this is so oblivious! These people make shit ton of money just to party and fight and they get free food and a roof. what about the people in need?! those resources should go to them not some party animals. our society is blind folding themselves about the reality over some garbage TV.

In my opinion. I think the reason people may hate this show if because it shows actions and things that are irresponsible, irrational, and just plain ignorant. A lot of children watch it and think that's what it is to be "cool", so we have children repeating what they see and it's creating further problems in society that we seriously don't need at the moment. We already have children wanting to be gangsters, now jersey shore! Sometimes I don't think the things that are aired are regulated correctly. But that's just my opinion :]

No. Jersey Shore doesn't encourage, Jersey Shore showcases and exploits. The people watching are the ones encouraging it by supporting it.

Either way. I feel as though the watchers and producers are at fault. I completely disagree with the idea of that show.. pointless, meaningless, un-educational..

I think they are all complete assholes. They all think they are better than everyone else, even each other. All they do is cause trouble & get messed up all the time. I like this show because when I feel like relaxing & smoking a big, fat doobie I can just turn this shit on to get a good laugh at how stupid they all are. I actually do watch the show, but not for the reason that they are cool.... they are FAR from cool. They need a reality show about hippies! -Actually, scratch that.. they`d probably pick some wannabe hipster kids & call them hippies & ruin the reputation of us all! Ahhhh... :peace:

If other people enjoy it being against it sounds kinda strong. But I really dislike it myself. The show is easier to avoid than the hate talks against it though. In some way the show is also less annoying than the hate talks by hippies who watch this shit while they dislike everyone in it. Just my opinion.
